Question about Dishwashers
Depending on the model you have this could be a couple of things. The most likely suspect is the water inlet valve. What I would recommend to do is take the bottom toe panel off, typically there are either 2 or 4 screws holding this panel on. Once it is off look to see if you can tell which part of the dishwasher the water is coming from.
If you could send me the brand name and the model number from the tag just inside the door I would be able to help narrow down what to check.
