Question about liftmaster Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Transmitter 300MC

1 Answer

I have a liftmaster formula 1 garage opener. My dog ripped out the line out of the wall that connects to one of the sensor. I do now know where the line runs to inside the wall. Looking for a wiring diagram on where the wire leads to.

Hello. The line from each sensor runs to the control panel on the motor. If you climb up and take a look at the rear of the motor you will see the other end of each wire. J.

Hi,
There is a rope or string hanging down that releases the dog that hooks the door to the chain...if someone pulled that the door will not open. You need to pull down and back on the srting to relaese the dog and then push the door up to catch the chain...then the door will work again...

Check to make sure the sensors in the doorway are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have a bad sensor.

1/2 HP Sears Liftmaster will not close

YOU PROBABLY HAVE A BROKEN WIRE ON THE SENDING EYE. THIS WOULD CAUSE IT NOT TO LIGHT AND THE RECIEVER NOT TO GET A SIGNAL MAKING IT NOT LIGHT.

YOUR DOG IS PROBABLY THE CULPRIT AGAIN . THEY TEND TO SNIFF AROUND OR JUST GENERALLY BUMP INTO THE WIRES (SOMETIMES THEY CHEW THEM).

IF NO OBVIOUS BROKEN WIRES OR LOOSE CONNECTIONS CAN BE FOUND. YOU CAN TEST THE WIRING BY USING DOOR BELL WIRE TO TEMPORARILY REPLACE IT - THE FAULT COULD BE INSIDE THE WALL OR UNDER A STAPLE WHERE THE WIRES GET SMASHED (THIS ONE WE CAN'T BLAME ON THE DOG) :)

IF YOU REWIRE COMPLETELY (PAY ATTENTION TO THE POLARITY OR THE TEST WILL NOT BE VALID) AND THE LEDS STILL ARE NOT ON YOU COULD HAVE A DEFECTIVE EYE
