If you try to install another manufacturer's disk on another manufacturer's machine, it will not work.

For example, suppose you have a Dell motherboard go bad, you cannot replace the motherboard with an Asus board. The license will only work for a dell board.

You would have to install Win 8.1 64 bit from scratch; new copy with new license. Then you'll have to reinstall all of your old 32 bit programs, some may not work on 64 bits.

I want to save intallation and install it to another computer

If you still have youir Vista license key and it is retail (not OEM), then you will be able to transfer your installation intact. Use windows vista system (not file) backup to a portable HDD. Also make a rescue disk. Then boot to the rescue disk on the other computer and follow the prompts to recover the main backup you made. You will need your license key to activate the new Vista. You may need to tell Microsoft that your old computer is no longer working to transfer the license. If the old license was OEM, you can't move the license (it is for the life of the original computer/motherboard only), and you will have to buy a Windows 8.1 pro license and migrate your data instead. I have done that from windows Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit. I used all different types of backups (including Mig, vista file backups, copy my whole profile) and carefully put it all back together. Let me know if you want more help with anything specific.

..................My system config is : Intel C2D E7500 with 2.93 GHz CPU MOBO is Intel DG41RQ and 2gb DDR2 RAM OS is Windows XP - 32-bit (Service pack 3) .Problem is iwant to buy a new graphics card

When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

Computer overheating

Check the machine for dust, and us canned air to move it out. Make sure that your fans spin upon powering on your machine. Fan controllers can be downloaded to help boost fan speed and cool the machine. Make sure you're not placing the laptop on anything preventing airflow, like carpet or blankets.

Hardware conflict blue screen

I bought a used computer that stopped working all the time. I installed new OS, same problem. It was the CPU that was overheating. The thermal paste under the CPU was dried and crusty. New paste cured it.

On yours, check for dust build up and feel if any components are too hot. Also reinstall all drivers for your motherboard, get the newest ones from your mo-bo mfr. web site.

I need to reinstall Timeslip 2006 on a new computer and it's not letting me. I have the configuration code, serial number, installation code, and it's not working. Thank you.

I'm not positive with Timeslip but it sounds like a similar situation as with Adobe products. You probably need to uninstall the product from the original computer. Part of the uninstall will most likely send a message back to the software publisher that your license key is no longer being used. Then when you install on the new computer, you will be using an unused license.

Satellite A215-S7444 laptop's fan is no longer working. Was working earlier. What do I do to fix it?

If the fan was making a bearing noise and has stopped spinning then the fan needs to be replaced.
The fan may have stopped spinning because it is clogged with dust, if so loosen with a still brush and vacuum to remove the dust.
A faulty fan will cause the CPU to overheat and shutdown the computer and will not start up again until it has cooled down. Continue to ignore this it will eventually cause the CPU to fail.

Re instale copy of DVD X Copy

321 Studios first released DVD X Copy in 2003 and the company was taken to court by several major studios and in February was ruled illegal by a judge. Subsequently, 321 Studios closed down and all their DVD copying software was taken off the shelves (although some retailers continued selling the remaing inventory) leaving people (who has license copy of the software) in frustrations because they can not activate and use the software. There is no way you can activate the software now because their website no longer exist.

You may try phone activation and use the following codes:
