Hi, click on the "Start Button," in the (right pane) Control Panel, next in the category listings, select Hardware and Sound, open, and click on the "Manage Sound Devices." The Sound window will open; click on the "Playback" button, there should be a Speakers Icon, click on it, look below to find the "Properties button, click to open the next window. In the next window there will be (4) four buttons "General, Level... First click on the "General" button, in the top of the window there will be a "Driver" button, click on that button to open. Select to "Update Driver," just click on it, the DriversNo sound - 2_bing.gif will be updated for you. Next you ca go back and press the other areas, Speaker Level etc... Next if you have a "MIC" do the same for the (Microphone) as you done for (Speakers) in the [Recording] category. Note: "Remember to click on the "Apply and OK buttons afterward to make sure the changes take effect. "Restart the computer to finalize the changes." "Rate the solution on it helpfulness, its away of letting me know if you resolved the the problem or you need further assistance, thank you."

What is wrong? my active bass whether i put a new battery in or not sounds passive no change whatsoever. quite a bit of the low end is severely missing. Schecter STARGAZER 5 bass.

That bass combines passive EMG pickups with an active preamp (which provides the bass and treble controls). Sounds like you are never getting the preamp to work, and if that is the case there could be numerous reasons...a dead battery...jack wiring that is broken (meaning the battery ground wire is not attached or is grounding out)...likely should see a tech, but that is a good sounding bass when working correctly.

How do i get my wireless technika mouse wm110pk to connect to my laptop?

Insert the USB dongle that came with your technika wireless mouse into a USB computer port on your machine.

This dongle, which resembles a regular flash drive in appearance, can be plugged into any available USB port.

Once inserted, it immediately turns on.

Insert the required amount of batteries (typically two AA batteries, though it changes depending on the model) into the compartment on the bottom of your HP wireless mouse.

Flip the "ON" switch on the bottom of your technika wireless mouse.

Press the "Sync" button on the bottom of your technika wireless mouse.

The mouse will now sync with your computer and will be immediately usable.

hope this helps

i have read some good and bad reviews on this mouse one stated the wireles stopped working several times and it had to be replaced

I have a peavy mixer, 8 channels, 4 ohms, with phantom power when I plug in my guitar, the volume works good for about 2 seconds, and then gets real low, what is wrong, and how do I fix it

Please note that I do not have the schematic for this unit. One possibility is they have "foldback" protection to pprotect the power amps from excessive load. If you drive such a system hard, it will shutdown and stay down till you recycle the power.

Try this: Bring your gain up SLOWLY and see if the unit immediately cuts off at less gain than you have been trying.
If you reach a "trigger point", the unit probably is going into protection mode.

Sometimes people get junky speakers like car speakers and they are so inefficient compared to good music speakers that they overload these amps trying to drive them. You should be using name brand speakers like Peavey, Yamaha, etc.

Also I would like you to check your guitar on another system to make sure it doesn't cut out. MANY guitars have a battery amp in them and if the circuitry is bad or the battery weak, as soon as they are played hard, the battery collapses and the sound diminishes.

Do these tests I have suggested and see what you find out. I am an electrical engineer with lots of troubleshooting experience... If I could only reach out with my test equipment and measure a few things...

When should I replace my backup battery?

The back up battery should be replaced immediately upon seeing the message "Backup Battery Very Low - Your back up battery is very low or missing. Data loss may result from failure to replace the battery very soon. Consult the manufacturer's instructions for directions on replacing or charging the backup battery." Warning: It is important to note that the back up battery in the MobilePro 900 is not rechargeable, thus, to prevent data loss, it is important to change the back up battery immediately when this message is displayed.
