Can you borrow a disc from someone you know??
Once you have the disc you will need to do the following:
Simply boot from the Vista DVD, go to the repair options (if you cannot select any valid current installtions of Windows do it without selecting anything; it will work) and from there open the command promt. And no do a simple copy:
copy c:\windows\system32\boot\winload.exe c:\windows\system32\

There are other things that could work but unfortunately I'm not sure I could explain well enough how to do it on here as it gets a bit complicated with Command prompt and things.
How good are you with computers?
If you manage to get a disc and your feeling brave, have a look here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itprovistadeployment/thread/189dc129-551f-4336-8c88-fdfaa2fd75d3
Remember to print these pages off though unless you can get online and use your laptop in the same place.

You should be able to create a boot able stick for this kind of issue.
Sounds like you have hard disk errors. Open the Command Prompt when the Installation DVD Loads and type the following commands.
chkdsk /r c:
chkdsk /r d:
chkdsk /r e:
chkdsk /r f:
.etc until you get the message that the volume could not be opened for direct access. For any drives that do not give the message:
"Windows has checked the file system and found no problems"
run chkdsk again as above. In other words, if it says:
"Windows has made corrections to the file system"
after running the disk check, run the disk check again.

I realize you may only have one disk show up in Windows explorer, but you may have more than one disk through recovery options. This is because the system creates a hidden boot partition (which will be C: in recovery), you may have a recovery partition for your PC that is hidden (which will be D: in recovery), and you will have your primary Windows partition (which may be E: in recovery). A custom PC will likely have at least C: and D: to scan.

When i start up my computer it goes straight to boot manager and gives an error code file\ windows\ system32 \ winload exe,,, status 0XC000000F file missing or corrupt, what is the issue please, system is...

The problem you have is with the system boot files. There is a corrupt file and that is stopping the system from booting.
Press F8 as the system starts up, that will let you into the special boot menu and hopefully will give you the option of repairing your system. The timing can be quite tricky as there is only a very short time window. Trying a few times should get it.
Hope that helps.

Have a toshiba satetllite laptop and i have error code 0xc000000f but was not givin a recovery cd and the old press f9 is not working. any ideas?

try going into safe mode with command line utility enabled. (F8 on bootup). in command console type chkdsk /f /r and enter y for yes at the prompt. wait for it to finish, it may take a while. If that doesn't solve it try typing fixmbr. If that doesn't work, manually load the os to boot from cd-rom. tap F1 while rebooting. in the BIOS go to boot options. in boot options change first boot device to cd. put the cd in the tray, save and exit your settings. The comp will boot from the windows disk. follow the prompts.

Cant logon my acer 1640 it wont even get to the windows page

This is the menus that you get when you boot from the CD:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

When you run the Startup Repair from your Vista CD you get that error "No OS files found on disk."correct?
Instead of choosing the Startup Repair option try the System Restore option and see if i allows you to take the computer back to another day ,if it gives you an error then choose the other option that says Command Prompt ,it will load to a blinking white cursor.
Type in the following and press Enter key after each one:
bootrec.exe /fixboot
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
When finished Restart the computer and see if it will load normally.

If it doesnt resolve it then it could be a hardware problem on the laptop itself.

Key Ports

Try connecting to this URL:
http://status.messenger.msn.com/Status.aspx

If you can connect, then there are several different things that could be wrong:

I use XP. What worked for me was

Start > Run
Type:
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

Done.
Restart messenger.

If that doesn't work, try:

Start > Run
Type:
regsvr32 Softpub.dll Mssip32.dll Initpki.dll

Wait for all three boxes to popup confirmation.

If that doesn't work:

Start > Run

timedate.cpl

Internet Time Tab

Update Now Button.

After sync, try again.

I hope that fixes everyone's problems. I've never had this problem until I installed the latest Messenger.
