Take the cover off, if the front drive roller continues to turn when the running belt stops, tension the running belt by using the rear adjustment screws. One full turn on each side should do it. If the front roller stops turning but the motor doesn't, tension the drive belt by adjusting the motor back.

I need to know how to fix my timing if it skipped a tooth i dont think anything is bent

double check all the belt timing marks and if it really has skipped a tooth you will have to release the belt tensioner, reposition the belt and re-tension it. you often get lucky if its out by just one tooth, but if it happened once it can happen again and cause real damage so don't drive it until its fixed, and make sure the tensioner is set and working correctly

I have a Image 15.0 R treadmill. It skips and I tried tightening the belt 1/4 turn as directed and not over tighten it. Still skips and actually squeaks now especially when running on the treadmill at 6...

3 different possibilities in my opinion:

belt is too loose, belt is too tight, belt is worn out.

Try to lift the belt and get your hand under it in the middle of the deck. If you cannot reach, it is possible that your belt is too tight. Another clue for this would be the belt "curling" on both sides at the edges. Try to loosen the belt, gradually and testing it along the way.

If on the contrary you can easily slide your hand under the belt from one side to the other, it is more likely that the belt is too loose. The squeaking might be due to the belt not being "square" on the deck. Try to loosen it even more until you can slide it with your hands across the deck. And have it aligned evenly at the front and back. Then retighten and adjust the tracking at low speed.
!!! Do not over loosen as the bolts might come out of the back roller.

A worn out belt might squeak and skip when its old.

I have a JVC L-L1 turntable. The linear arm is quite sluggish and is actually making records skip. Any ideas other that replacing the motor?

I have this exact turntable. If the tone arm looks like it's not moving or not moving fast enough, it will make the record skip. It is NOT the turntable drive belt that is bad. It IS a 2nd belt that makes the tone arm assembly move. That belt is only about 1 3/4" diameter. I have yet to find one for mine. Turntable drive belts are readily available, but not this belt for some reason.

Belt skips

This typically means the belt is worn - or not tensioned properly.

Look in your owner's manual - and it will tell you how to properly tension the belt with the included spanner wrench.

My treadmill belt skips. I have tightened it as far as it can go and it still skips

This sounds like either the drive belt is loose or the walking belt is old. First, check the tension on the drive belt. If the drive belt is not slipping, then walking belt may need to be replaced. I say may because without working on the unit, I cannot say that IS the problem.

When to change timing belt and it acts like it want to skip.

Most manufacturers will tell you to change the timing belt every 60,000 miles or so. If it's true that it's actually skipping time now, CHANGE IT! Are you sure it's the timing belt skipping or is it something else like an ignition problem? Is your check engine light on?

I hope this helps! Let me know if I can be of further assistance. :)

Car skipping and not getting gas

sounds like the timing is out 1. check timing 2. check timing belt is fitted correctly if the timing marks top and bottom arent in then it would cause this problem 3. you may have bent valves this is usually when the belt snaps and the engine is turned over exessively to try to start it from your description i would first think number 2. above
