Nothing. Fixya .com is a collection of people sitting in their homes in front of their computers. We can answer your questions online, and we can suggest things, offer advice, but we are not a repair shop for cameras, bikes or anything else. I suggest you look online to the Yahoo groups. Get into some of the Nikon camera groups and ask their advice. You might also look up Garry's Camera repair. If he fixes them, his price is posted on his site. Have him also look it over for a Clean, lube and Adjust(CLA). He has just about the best pricing I've seen.

Is my 105 mm telephoto that was used with Nikormat body interchangeable with new Nikon Digital cameras?

Some Nikon digital SLR will use the older lens in a very limited manner. Here is a chart that may help: http://www.nikonians.org/nikon/slr-lens.html

Shutter will not advance the film or allow for a picture to be ta

This will need servicing for the factory oil used for lubracation is dried up. When a camera is 20 years and older the oils contain solvent which evaporates turning the oil into a tar like substance. That causes the mechcanisums to lock up

Nikkormat FT

I have a Nikkormat FT, and I can assure you that there is no "timer" button on this camera. There is, however, a timer lever to the left of the lens if you are looking at the front of the camera. As for the light meter, have you tried moving the film advance lever to the "cocked" position, since that turns on the meter.

Using filters

Both filters perform the same task.

The filters reduce excess red tones that affect daylight film when shooting early morning or late evening. They are also effective if your flash exposures are too 'warm'. The filters I believe have a filter factor of 1.3 and require 1/3 f-stop of additional light.

Not really a problem just need some advice. I have a 37 year old nikkormat 35mm slr camera. Its a steel case and in very good condition. Im looking to find out what it is worth and where i might sell it.

I would take it to a specialist dealer.
It's probably not really old enough to be considered highly collectable, but it is collectable. Especially if you have any of the original documentation, instruction manual, bill of sale and so on. 37 years is a reasonable age and that puts it in the first of the modern style slr group. I would avoid any High Street chain or department store. Half the people who work in those outlets won't have a clue what it is unles it has an LCD on the back. Look for an independent long established shop.

Another long shot would be to search eBay but putting in the full model number and see if anyone has sold or is selling one

Hope this helps...
