SOURCE: Convert a whirlpool portable dishwasher to undercounter

I would simply slide the unit under the counter and connect the inlet and drian hose permenantly. If the unit is not tall enough and sits too low then build a shelf or false floor in the cupboard for it to stand on.

If your Dishwasher is stuck in a cycle check the following

Float Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle.

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace timer/electronic control board
God bless you use the VOM..

Kenmore dishwasher filling up with water but never spinning and cleaning

I have had this happen before on my dishwasher. The timer inside the door is stuck or the contacts on the timer may have broken off. When you turn the knob on the dishwasher it sends power to a timer, which continually turns until the end of the cycle. This timer is attached to a bunch of arms which close contacts to send power to different parts of the dishwasher during different times in the cycle, now if the timer is worn out and missing parts of its gears or missing some of the armatures the machine will only get so far along in the cycle until it doesn't know what to do next and just stops. Hope that helps

Shortest cycle takes 3 hours

Maybe its build up inside the dishwasher. A solution to this is to run one of the avaliable products for cleaning out the lime/scale/crud inside. Just because it looks clean doesn't mean that the hidden pump and lines aren't either partially clogged.or almost blocked. Is the hot water at 140 degrees? If not then the element inside may be attempting to heat the water to that minimum setting, If this doesn't help then I'd look at replacing the timer.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't complete, then the first thing that should be checked is the Timer and then the heating element. Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it. Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next depends, as follows: On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time. On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too. Please accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

My timer on my dandby portable dishwasher won't turn, can I fix it?

THE TIMERS ARE NOT SERVICEABLE, BUT IF THE ALTERNATIVE IS A NEW ONE -THEN YOU COULD UNPLUG DISASSEMBLE AND SEE IF IT IS BINDING EXTERNALLY.

Whirlpool dishwasher wont change cycles

wow, good move with the heating element. most folks don't know about how that relates. if that stuff is good, it must be the timer. or at least the small motor which turns the timer. good luck

Whirlpool dishwasher - how do i remove timer ??

When I looked up a Whirlpool 2000 dishwasher, it shows an electronic timer. For a mechanical timer, see last paragraph.
First, turn off the breaker for the dishwasher. Then you'll need to remove the Phillips screws around the inside of the door. The inner door panel lifts up, leaving the electronics in place. Disconnect the vent motor and the dispenser motor wires. Place something heavy on the outer panel to keep it down and prop up the inner panel. Remove the plastic cover over the timer - it should pop off. Remove the wires to the circuit board. The electronics are held on with one or two screws.
Mechanical timer: Turn the timer **** backwards. It should come off along with the pointer. This should reveal a 1/4 in ***** holding the timer in place.
