3 Beeps equals a RAM error.

Anything that requires you to open the case up, you should first unplug the computer from the wall. After the plug is pulled, hit the power button to discharge capacitors.

As with all hardware issues, reset your BIOS first to see if that fixes your problem.

Take the RAM out and clean the connectors on both the chip and motherboard, look for any debris where the RAM seats. When you install the RAM, 2 clips should be at each end of the RAM to hold it and let you know when it is fully seated. Try booting.

Install only 1 chip of RAM at a time until you cycle through all the available chips you have laying around. Try booting on each swap.

RAM could be dead. Static shock when installing, a surge, natural causes, lot of possibilities. You can try testing the "dead" RAM in a different computer or trying new RAM in your computer. Make sure to watch out for static electricity when touching any components, you can get a wrist grounding strap to ground yourself out to the computer case.

Would not hurt to remove any hardware that is not required to boot.

If you had video, I would suggest updating BIOS firmware.

If nothing mentioned worked, then I would put the blame on the motherboard.

If your old RAM works and the new RAM does not, the new RAM is either dead or is not supported by your computer. If you can boot with your old RAM, update the BIOS firmware then try the new RAM again.

Hope this helps.

Try placing one stick at a time in and powering up. It sounds like you have a memory problem (a stick may be bad).

If it powers fine, then power it down and change the memory, and try again to see if it fails on one.

Insufficient Memory in Adobe Illustrator

It is obvious your scratch disk does not have enough space. I would say that truth about the memory problem is the Very Critical Memory Bug that comes with CS4. You can try to disable all the apps that are running at the same time, but the problem can be still here. Installing of a current AI version might help. Also try to save a TIF of the image in Photoshop, it could be a quick fix to the problem. Or reduced the pixels number.

If nothing helps, use a special software that is able to recover it. There are a lot of on network, but unfortunately not all of them are so good. Try Recovery Toolbox for Illustrator https://illustrator.recoverytoolbox.com/

Oh, also i've remembered one method: Unlock all the layers and 'select all' and 'copy'. Than create a new doc and paste your image in there. Save the document with a new name.

Memory Problem

bad sticks there,
BSOD screens?

finding good memory for such and old PC is not easy
did you buy them direct from Crucial or Kingston, ? or off fleabay.?
memory must match the MMC, chip, memory managers.
and the specs are not trivial. at all.

if it runs on the old sticks and not on the new,?
why wonder why, ( answer wrong sticks or bad sticks.)

#1 reason for this is memory
#2 is XP (and bad drivers to it)

bsod-nqnsjpy5mxjchhsl14xy30wr-1-0.jpg
buy from Crucial?
btw, why not test the sticks 1 by 1,
see which one is bad, and if all are identical (new set) then
all can be bad if using wrong sticks.
speed (too slow, faster is ok)
density rules, lots,... the older the CPU the worse this gets.

HP dropped all support on A-nnnnn PCs
so the pages showing all memory that work is gone now.
leaving only top memory makers are authorities no same.
I say ask them. in all cases this old PC.

ECS PT800CE-A 3.4 P4 HT CPU and DDR400 (PC3200) problems

I seem to be unable to find any information about what an ERAND error even is. No one is really identifying it on the net. One thing you may try though is to find out if the bios settings are maybe causing this. Is the system overclocked at all? Are the voltages correct? Maybe try resetting Bios to default settings and trying again.

Memory question

Each memory contain chipset , with black block coloured, each of this chipset has the ability of error parity checking, and own their clock latency, KVR is the kingston chipset , 100 stand for the clock or memory clock, PC 100 is means that the memory is SDRAM, While the DDRAM stands for 266(PC 2100) , 333 (PC 2700) . and the other x64 means this memory support 64 bit data flows, cl2 means clock latency (the delay for the memory to write and read), and 256 is the real size of the memory module.

CHILL WILL'S (motherboard E210882) WOES!!!

It seems like you have done everything right but im not 100% sure that your memory is correct. read through the description here carefully and you will see that this memory comes in two different packages. One of them is the 400 (the ones you bought) and another in the 333 flavor. I am hoping they did not make a mistake and gave you the wrong ones. Look directly at the memory and make sure. I am also including the system manual for your computer. Hope this helps.

Kingston's ValueRAM KVR400/1GR is a 128M x 64-bit (1GB) DDR400 CL3 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) memory module. The components on the module include sixteen 64M x 8-bit (16M x 8-bit x 4 Bank) DDR333 SDRAM in TSOP packages. This 184-pin DIMM uses gold contact fingers and requires +2.6V. The product is shipped in retail packaging and includes installation instructions.

Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook - major memory problem!!

it sounds like the memory, try removing the new memory from the notebook and see if there are any errors, if not then that stick is ok, try just your new memory in the notebook and leave out your old memory, if the same problems you know its the new memory, if there are no problems, then the two sticks wont work together.
