Error code e4 for ge washer

It is likely linked to a faulty water inlet valve that is located behind the control panel.

Will look something like this

The F33 code can indicate a bad pump or a problem with the wiring either at the pump or the CCU (central control unit), or the wiring harness itself. Before you replaced the pump, did you test the resistance in the wiring harness?

Unplug the washer and use an Ohmeter (VOM) to test. See http://media.fotki.com/1_p,wtftddqbdtwbdkrxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/tgdkbwkswxfddbwsbdbxtbgtgwftb/1/1303472/5961857/image49983img-or.gif for the schematics of the wiring for the pump on the CCU. To access the CCU, you need to remove a few screws on the back of the top panel. You remove the lower service panel on the front of the washer to access the pump. The wiring should read 12.3 ohms at the CCU. If you get a reading of infinity (open), check the pump. If the leads to the pump motor give a resistance of 12.3 ohms, then the wiring harness should probably be replaced. If the circuit to the pump is fine and the error persists, then the CCU is faulty and needs to be replaced.

I hope this helps. If you add a comment with the specific model of your washer, I may be able to give additional suggestions.

I have a Kenmore HE frontload washer & I'm getting a d5 error code. What does this mean and how do I fix the problem? Should I have my washer serviced? It is still under warranty. Sophia

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Try this first but if it does not cure the problem DEFINITELY invoke the warantee!!!
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Samsung washer keeps reading ND. Have manually drained the washer, cleaned all the hoses out. Found a coin, removed it, washed a blanket and the washer worked fine. However when doing another load, again...

The nd error code stands for No Drain.

Try following the steps here:
http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa/jsp/faqs/faqs_view_us.jsp?SITE_ID=1&PG_ID=4&PROD_SUB_ID=864&PROD_ID=866&AT_ID=149972

You will need to slide the unit forward to access the pump if there is no access panel on the lower front. If the clean out access panel is on the lower front bail the water from the washer and twist the filter head counter-clockwise. If the front panel does not have the access panel the washer will need to be slide forward. With the washer pulled out the back access panel can be removed. With the panel removed, the drain pump will be visible. Remove the two hoses on the pump followed by the two 7/16 bolts that mount the pump down. With the pump off, you can now remove the debris inside.
Put the washer back together and test for proper operation. If the error code comes back this means that the pump is clogged again or the pump has failed and would need to be replaced.

I hope this information helps you. A 4-thumbs up rating is greatly appreciated. :)

When i try to start the washer code d5 shows ands chimes

Hi

The reason for d5 error is due to defective door lock switch. It is a door lock error code, more than likely a bad door latch it's an easy repair. When washer displays this code it means door is open while washer is running. Check the lid switch and striker.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Washer stops in middle of cycle. Comes up with code d5. My wife pushed something on and off 3 times and came up with a code of f71

some machines come with a reset program but not all. Suggest you pull the plug out and wait 20 min untill washer has totally discharged. In the mean time, try and drain the water from the tub. Take note if the drain pump motor is working as well. Retry a wash program..

IE error code on LG front loader wm3677hw

No, I most certainly do not agree. IE is the code for water Inlet Error. The most common reason for that code is the screen(s) inside the water valve (right where the hoses connect onto the machine) are plugged up. You can remove them and clean them out. If they are clean, check that the hoses themselves do not have screened hose washers in either end which may be blocked. If that is all good, you may have a bad water inlet valve, which is easy to replace. Let me know if you think that is the case, and I'll be glad to give you part number(s) and advice on dissassembly and repair.

LD code

Ok you have an Calypso with an LD code. We need to tilt the washer back to expose the bottom. There is three 5/16 hex head screws on the bottom black panel to remove to get to the pump. The pump is held on by 3 either 5/16 or 3/8 screws. Older models will have a gray pump held to a motor with two clips. Get a trash bag, heavy twenty gallon type and prepare to pull the hoses off this pump. Slip joint pliers do the remove the hose clamps and once down position your bag and pull a hose off, you may get wet. Once done unclip the wire harness and bring the pump to a well lite area where you can examine the pump impeller. Hopefully with needle nose pliers you can clear the pump. A replacement is over 120 dollars to give you hope on this.

MY WASHER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

After following all the suggestions in the Guide, (press chimes and extra rinse for 3 seconds etc.) all it did was gave more codes not listed in the guide.I tried unplugging it for 15 minutes and plugging it back in. I moved on in the guide and checked to see if the hoses were kinked or obstructed. Then AFTER UNPLUGGING the washer I removed the back panel, it was very easy, only 2 screws. I looked at all of the wires and where they connected and made sure they were all "plugged in all the way". One wire was connected but not "all the way snug". I pushed it snug, never thinking that this could make any real difference, replaced the panel , plugged it back in an it now works as always.
