If your ds can't even detect that anything is inserted it means that your R4 card isn't making good pressure on the contacts. You could try slipping in a folded up piece of paper in with the R4, but it's better to get the <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.dscardworld.com">R4i SDHC</a> from a reliable vendor like http://www.dscardworld.com

Have you tried re formatting the r4 card ?? or even just unloading & reloading the games & files??
