Question about Aiwa Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Copied CDs won't play with my Aiwa LCX 350 shelf system. It will spin for a bit, then stop. I've tried every method ... with or without remote, start/stop, etc. This doesn't happen with any retail CD. Only one burned CD out of my whole collection will actually play. Help!

It sounds like it's not reading the CD. 2 things to try, neither of which are guaranteed to work:

1) Try changing the brand/colour of your recordable CD.  Some machines read different colours/brands better than others; particularly older CD players.  If the ones you have are all light-coloured, try burning a couple of dark-coloured CDs and see if that helps

OR:

2) It could be the speed at which you're recording.  Try burning a CD at 1x speed and see if that helps.

I have an old Aiwa stereo with a 5-CD changer. The remote control has RC-7AS05 on it. How can I program the CD player to play the CDs continuously?

Press the RANDOM/REPEAT button and watch the unit's display. There will be a graphic changing to show the different functions: Disc repeat....All Repeat.

Try out the different modes unit you find the one that plays all the discs in the carousel.

I have lost the manual for my aiwa lcx 337 and would like to programme the radio alarm timer.

Well, I had a heck of a time researching, but I found a link to a manual for a model number LCX857, but the page reads that it would also work for your model, the LCX337. I tested the link, and the file is valid and virus free. It's a pdf file, about 7.5 MB. Here's the link: http://www.service-manual.eu/download.php?file=Aiwa-857.pdf Hope this helps.
