Both of the above solutions are wrong in at least one respect. The memory cover is on the bottom of the N600c near the headphone and mic jacks. The screws on mine, at least, are very small Philips-head screws, not Torx.

On the N600 series laptops, the ram is accessed below the left side palm rest. You can pop the panel off by lifting with your fingernails just below the Fn and Alt keys - I use an Ipod opener tool. U can use a screwdriver - just be careful of the keyboard.

The little screws are Torx head screws and sized by numbers. If you have access to a basic PC tool kit there is probably a couple of torx head screw drivers or torx head screw driver bits. Be sure to remove the battery and disconnect all other power sources. Ground yourself before handling memory modules.

Power on pasword lost

You would need to disassemble the notebook to access the RTC battery. Remove the battery for around five seconds and reinsert it. reassemble the notebook and power it on without reinstalling the battery pack. This will reset CMOS and clear the BIOS password. If you are uncomfortable doing this yourself, I would strongly suggest finding a technician to do it for you.

How do i replace the power jack in a compaq evo n600c?

This will require a full breakdown. Get the instruction manual from the HP site - it is a .pdf and gives you excellent step by step. Use a craft parts box from Walmart to keep the screws in order. The jack is a whopping $5 on eBay and it will take you 3 hrs or so to complete. JUST FOLLOW THE .pdf - NO cheating.
1 caveat: some of these laptops use a no longer available power jack - the ONLY way to get one is from an old mobo.

My EVO N600C does not load, it states that "Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this." When choosing an option it loads but then briefly shows a blue...

Usual suspects for this are as it stated to you.
To get back into windows boot the computer whilst repeatedly pressing F8. this will take you to boot up options for windows.

Select safe mode and continue from there (this may take a little longer to boot than usual)

Once windows is up you will be given a warning tell it YES you want to continue.

Now remove any recent software you may have installed by using the ADD REMOVE option in control panel. DO NOT go to folders and delete that way.

It may be a toolbar or some other app you may have got from the web.

Whilst you are in safe mode make sure you do a full and deep virus scan using a strong reputable antivirus (norton and mcafee aren't on my list for this purpose) AVG, NOD, ESET, KAPERSKY all qualify.

Also do a full and deep antispyware scan (this is different to antivirus)

MALWAREBYTES and SUPERANTISPYWARE both qualify

If everything checks out then you should be back in business, if not post any further details you have back into this post and we can see where else we can go with it

EVO N600c starts up fine but when when its time to sign in nothing on screen just blank

Both of you, what did you do before the restart? If you changed anything while in Winblows it seems likely it is a software related issue. If you didn't, then a hardware issue is possible, in which case I'd start by unplugging the non-essential peripherals and restart. If that doesn't work, also try a different power supply and disconnect the battery. Sometimes a bad peripheral can cause the boot up sequence to hang. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a weak psu can undersupply power to the harddrive causing the operating system to fail to boot. But, you probably have tried these ideas so they may not be of much help. Oh well, good luck!

I do believe that there is no wireless switch on that model. To enable or disable the card is done through software. Check your Device Manager to ensure it is enabled and or correct drivers.
