Question about GE Nautilus 24" Built-in Dishwasher

DISHWASHER PROBLEM HI, Last night I ran the dishwasher down in our kitchen down stairs. Four hour later I heard a humming sound coming from down there. I noticed the dishwasher went through the cycle perfectly , except on the hot drying cycle the timer knob was stuck and won't budge. I cannot move it either way. So I just unlatched it. Want do you think happened?

HI,

A humming or grinding sound may indicate debris is jamming the motor and pump assembly. Check the inside for debris from broken dishes or glass. Carefully remove any broken dish debris. If the grinding sound continues, debris may have entered the circulation pump. This requires an authorized servicer to correct.

Goodluck,

Dishwasher starts then pauses and drains.

Fixed! I had the issue where the cycle would start, the KUDS30IXBL8 would hum 4-5 times and then drain. Plastic folk pieces jammed in the disposer. These instructions took a few minutes (only 5 screws and a couple clips) to figure out how to take it apart, and it only took 60 seconds to put back together. My dishwasher ran for 4 hours last night. When we realized that, we opened it and it was still soapy. Is it likely that I need to replace the timer?

If the unit is not heating, it will run waiting for temp to be achieved. Check that there is a cut out stat on the heater. Reset this by pressing it. If not, check that the thermostats and or heater are okay.

New Danby dishwasher - no water flowing into it

it sounds like the shut off valve has failed and not letting water into the unit, change the valve and it should work, even if it turns like it is working doesn't mean the washer isn't stuck keeping water from comming thru

Dishwasher runs for 3 hours

Are you using the high wash temp setting? I was having the same problem with my dishwasher while using that setting. Apparently, it will run until the temp gets to its required number. And my hot water heater was set to not go that far. So my dishwasher would run and run. I fixed it by not using that setting any more.

Kenwood Slimline Dishwasher KDW8ST2A

I have a Kenwood Kdw8st2a and have been constantly plagued by the E4 overfill error.

Lifting the front of the dishwasher and tilting it backwards seemed to clear the E4 error only for it to come back after the next wash.

I found eventually that the connection to the U bend under the sink was too narrow and was almost blocked hence the dishwasher was not emptying properly.

I disconnected the dishwasher waste pipe and ran the waste into a bucket for about 6 cycles and it worked fine.

Eventually drilled through the kitchen wall and fitted a lower direct waste pipe to the drain. Overkill maybe buit it hasn't done an E4 since.

Sounds like your not getting water to it. Turn on and let run for a few minutes then open door and check to see if you have water in it.
If not check to be sure water to it is turned on. Check float in front corner of dishwasher to see if moves freely up and down and that there is nothing underneath it. If these check ok you probably need a water valve.
