Question about Danby DPAC8020 Air Conditioner
It doesnt matter what setting we have it on it wont cool down are living area at all, my husband took it apart already and cleand it all out I am not sure what else to do!! does anyone help me?
I don't know that you'll like the answer, but from the very little bit you mentioned it sounds like it would be cheaper to replace it than have it fixed. Although there are other potential issues (like an electronic part, which would still be a good percentage of the $300-400 cost of a new unit), you could be low on refrigerant. Two problems there: 1) the refrigerant isn't cheap, though the service call would probably cost more) and 2) the refrigerant leaked out somehow, wo that leak would have to be fixed too.
I start thinking about a new unit.
