check your device manager
is there any unknown driver that shows by this sign(!) exclamation point
if there is it means your driver not compatible or match
you need to find the compatible one
or may be you need the HDMI driver for your sound card
don't forget vot as you want

Hi i have compaq 6720s after re install of window xp my sound is not working I m gating msg no sound device pls help me

If you have not run Windows Update, this is the place to start. Go to Start - Programs - Windows Update at the top of the menu. It will detect any updates required or optional for your PC. It will also check for any hardware updates that are available for your system. You should select to install of the hardware updates and see if there is an update listed for your sound card. It will be obvious if there is one. If not, let me know and we will go get this from a different angle.
