Question about Exercise & Fitness
I have a sportsart 3200 treadmill donated to me. Upon turn on it blew the breakers and fuses in the unit. I pulled the drive board and checked the input bridge rectifier. It was shorted. I replaced the rectifier and unit now powers on and all display lights work, no fuses blow and the up and down motor works. Now my issue is that the belt motor does not move or attempt to move. I have hooked up an external 20VCD source to the belt motor and it does move. I am unsure how to troubleshoot further. I measured the output of the drive board that goes to the motor and there is 5VDC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
5v DC equals .5 mph every 10v equates to 1 mph try increasing the speed if the DC voltage increases that means the motor control is working properly, then go back to the drive motor and check the motor brushes even though you have used a DC power source. They sometimes will not seat correctly and cause no belt movement, use a commutator stone a clean up the commutator arm.
