Re: notebook will not power up no lights , nothing have...
I've had the same problem:You probably need to insert a new little 3V button battery. You find it under one of the little covers screwed underneath. Good luck - and work carefully. It shouldn't be a problem!

Not all oem's are created equal, this sounds like a power supply issue. I would be tempted to try another power supply, first remove the main battery and press power, if it comes on the rechargeable battery is bad, replacement only option.
I had a similar problem some time ago, when i wanted to start my laptop, i could see the lights go on briefly and hear a click sound and then nothing. I tried taking out the battery and only using the power cable, still nothing.
I eventually descovered that it was my laptop's power supply which had given in. Not to expensive to buy. Hope this can help you.
It can be different problems, Battery, Power bottom not working, or better the mother board is bad. I really want you to connect your lap top to the power supply and check if there are lights on the indicated it is working. If there is light or lights on try to turn on your computer and pay really close attention for any noise or beeps. Then let me know what you came up with and I can get you pc to work. Later JUCEPEU
A half volt will not make any difference. Sounds like the power supply is malfunctioning. Start by trying a different one. Keep in mind that you may have fried the new motherboard by using a faulty power supply. Popping sounds indicate a short or loose/exposed wires, and are never good with any electrical device, especially a laptop since they are sensitive to power fluctuations to begin with.
Can you give a little more information? Did the Laptop Fall? What Color is the light that blinks? Amber or Green? So far it Sounds to me that you Power Supply is Dead or Bad and or not charging the Battery....
First Check the battery status light? Is the Power Supply Light (Lite). you might want to try removing the battery and using only the Power supply!
Take the battery out for a minute and put it back in. Don't plug the AC adapter in. Now turn it on. If it comes on go to 'settings' 'control panel' 'power settings' set everything to 'never' and make sure nothing is checked under the differant tabs.
