Question about Kenmore Oasis HE 27062 Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Kenmore: Type 580, Model: 27062

Daughter did a load of laundry yesterday and I went to do a load today and it's been beeping all night and this a.m. Can't get it to do a cycle. It turns on and you set it to normal cycle and it goes to 43 min then flips to 49 min and beeps when it does it.
I thought maybe it hadn't emptied all the way from my daughters load and so I ran it through a rinse and empty cycle (with no clothes) - which it would do that, but i can't get it to run a normal load.
I've unplugged it, but no luck.
Any suggestions???

This symptom indicates a stuck key on the user interface control board.
Replacing this control board would most likely fix this type of problem.
The part number for the user interface for this model is 8564374.

You can order this part from SearsPartsDirect.com, RepairClinic.com, PartSelect.com etc.

The procedure for replacing this control board is shown in the images below.

Before buying any parts I suggest you access the interface ribbon and disconnect it and then connect it back and see if there is any improvement.

You might also remove the interface from the console and check the console for any stuck buttons.

Remember to unplug the washer first.

According to the Whirlpool Cabrio (Sears Oasis) manual, this code indicates a "stuck key"

Keypad/User Interface Failure
F then 2 flashes when in:
• Diagnostics Test mode if a stuck key is detected.
• Standby mode if there is a user interface mismatch.

Following is the PDF of the manual.

Manually move the timer to the SPIN mode and turn it on.
If nothing happens, replace the lid switch.
With a model number I could be more specific.

Check the warm and hot cycles. If they work then the pressure valve needs replaced. Disconnect the watert hose to machine and make sure water comes out. Back screens may be clogged also.

3 audible beeps every 20-25 seconds

Try unplugging the washer for about 20 minutes then plug back in and use. I have found that this actually works! The only thing I can figure out is that it takes time for the electronic control to clear. If that doesn't fix the problem I would call sears tech since it is less than a year old. They have a 1-2 year warranty.
