Seems to be defective..If it is still under warranty, you can get it replaced from your point of purchase. If not.....then you may want to buy a new mouse...

If it is still under warranty, you may want to check this link:

Where is reset button

Often the sync button can be found inside the battery compartment. Unless it's a tiny USB receiver, you probably also need to press the sync button on the receiver within a couple of seconds of pressing the sync button on the mouse. If that doesn't work or make sense, please provide the mouse model #.

Loss of control over my mouse.

Hi Arsenal,

My Logitech cordless occasionally does the same thing. On mine it was caused by a build up of gunk over the optical sensor. Once I cleaned it, it functioned normally.

I know it doesn't make sense as far as the buttons. I'm just sharing what worked for me. Hope it works for you.

Best regards
Mike

When i'm playing a game i use my mouse to move by clicking both the left and right mouse button at the same time during this the mouse stops working for a split second and then reconncets

How far away from your mouse receiver? are there any cordless phones or other devices using radio to communicate around? might be getting interference. try and pair the mouse and base again by hitting the button on the front of the mouse dock making the green led blink, then press the button onthe bottom of the mouse.

Do i have to have a cd for cordless mouse

No, your operating system will pick up the mouse as a microsoft mouse.

You only need the driver to change the buttons around.

Right button doesn't work; single click with left button

You can probably repair this yourself if you are technically inclined and careful.

There is a tutorial here showing how to disassemble the mouse: http://www.vk2k.com/Logitech-MX1000-Battery/

The microswitches for the buttons can be opened if you are very careful, and then you'll have to clean the contacts. Regular rubbing alcohol should work fine. Be careful not to lose any parts when opening the switch.

If the switch contacts have corroded, you may have to replace the contacts or the entire switch. You may be able to take a similar switch from another mouse (many manufacturers use similar switches). SWometimes there are MX1000 or similar logitech nonfunctioning mice being sold on eBay for parts.

Good luck

Check the CCORNELL posting for the solution. Your mouse is double clicking when it should be only single clicking.
