Question about Cameras
None of the above are correct.
Some people have this issue when there is dust in the mechanism and suggest shaking / gentle banging the camera. That's not my 100% suggestion.
Somebody commented on the battery being an issue if only a little bit is charged. It not having the juice to open the lens correctly.
All in all, it's lens mechanism related. Why it says 'Access' is anyone's guess.
Our Sony W30 has just developed the same problem. It was dropped. :-] (not happy about that). But it could have been already on the way out because it got dropped on sand. :-(
