Question about Televison & Video
If the led turns red and you hear a click, then te TV goes in protect mode after an incorrect voltage or a fault condition has ocurred. In that case culprit is either power board or VSC board.
On protect only low +5V from PSU is on.
Testing is done activating the lines from PSU and reading volts on main board and inverter. Here a general description:How to test an LCD TV or monitor PSU.
If the LED stays green and there is no raster, then it is either power board or inverter. Testing is done reading volts at PSU connector and at inverter contacts.
If you are a repairer see troubleshooting diagrams at pages 19 and 20 of the service manual.
Here the full service manual for this set.
If you are a home user or if the TV is still under warranty call LG at the number listed on the owners manual to have the TV repaired by a qualified technician.
