I have just bought one of these and Have to charge up the battery every night. I unplug it @ 07:30 and by 19:00 the battery is dead, even if I made only one call lasting less than one minute. Also the backlight and keypad light stays on whilst charging and all the time when not charging and not in its case, ( the magnet in the case is the only thing that keeps the light off) Please help I have had this phone for less than a week and can't talk or send txt messages as it kills it before 18:00 hrs every day with normal usage. Is this supposed to happen

A hard reset involves physically removing the battery from the smartphone and then reinserting it. To perform a hard reset, complete the following steps:
1) Remove the battery cover from the back of the BlackBerry smartphone. 2) Remove the battery, and then reinsert it after a few seconds. 3) Replace the battery cover.
Still if it is not working kindly remove the Battery of the Handheld and try in some other Handheld. If the Battery is working fine in the other Handheld then there might be some problem with your Handheld, you need to walk into the service center.
If the Battery is not working in the other Handheld then there might be aproblem in the USB cable for these you need to walk into the service center
You need to reflash the OS on the phone you should take the
battery out first then connect it via the usb cable to the laptop/pc
you are using then open the blackberry desktop manager, click on the
apploader, then install the OS.
pls not that when u click on the apploader the pin should be
PIN:UNKNOWN you make need to do this like 4x before the pc sees the
pin:unknown but it will work once it see the pin:unknown you can
re-insert the battery and continue with reflashing the phone
It looks battery completly drained and dead (as It took so much time), the best way first to check "Circuit" status in Battery through Voltmeter (poles)..or another way go to any cell phone shop and give a trial with another batterty to check status of your unit.
