Question about Nikon Coolpix 950 Digital Camera
This Nikon Coolpix 950 has been sitting in a drawer for a number of years. I have replaced the batteries, and am able to take images, but when I change the mode to "play" -- there's nothing showing on the monitor. It sounds like the camera is switching off. Also, after taking an image, when I depress the thumbnail icon [the rectangle with 6 squares] the display freezes for only 3 seconds, rather than the 10 noted in the manual.
I'm using the old 64mb card that was in the camera, but have deleted all the old images.
The problem probably is not the camera but the memory card. It 'happened to me, try replacing the memory card or clean with degreaser spray the pins on the card and, if you can, clean the contacts inside the camera (with caution).
