I want to download songs can u help me i dont know how to do it

Get songs into your library and put them on your own playlist. Then on the sidepannels(where your ipod should be plugged into the computer and a title ****** ipod or ur ipod's name) and click on that. It has photo of your ipod and go to the music tab. Click the playlist u created w/ ur songs in it and apply and sync it. And that should work! Just wake a bit and get ready to listen. Same applys for vids and movies. You can only put music on your ipod thats IN your itunes library.

Headphone plug broke off and is lodged in the jack.

broken earphones are usually not repairable due to its miniature construction. i am sorry to say it's more likely you need to buy a new one. if you are really a person that loves music so much and pays attention to sound details, i suggest you buying a good quality earphones like Sennheiser. Though this has a trade off when it comes to price.
I found this on YouTube:

Dropped My Chromatic!

Sounds like you damaged the backlight. A LCD replacement will fix that.

Try either or They specialize in ipod repairs.

Broken ipod

if it cant turn on then it is a waste of ur time to try to get the music i dont like saying it but its gone.

the only way to get music off of it is to plug it in the comp and transfer the music to ur desktop or a folder but it cant turn on and isnt recognised by the comp its gone. : \

Ipod and headphone problem

The headphone jack on all the apple products have issues (even their laptops). There is no easy fix, other than having the jack replaced, or remounted. A common issue is that it comes loose from the pc board, especially with the movement of the headphone cord. This is a design/functionality flaw.

Hope this helps some.
