Hi,
In order to reduce the Touchpad sensitivity you may follow the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Goto Start--->Control Panel--->Mouse and then change the mouse sensitivity accordingly. Some laptops (like HP) comes with a Synaptics program which you may find in the control panel.
2. Double click the Synaptics and in the user interface, select the Touchpad sensitivity as per your needs.

My acer notebook and the mouse/touchpad is doing things by it's self


its one of two things,either you have a virus,or go into your touch pad controls in the control panel and reduce the sensitivity,,well there is one more thing if you slashed any liquid on the keyboard it can cause eratic operation

Ebay is full of them, just watch the location and skip the ones made and shipped from Hong Kong, Good ones and one that will last do not cost 18 bucks, search for original Acer chargers and spend the extra funds.
