You can turn off the monitor from the power button. but if this is the first time this is happening then you must install the driver for the monitor vga so the system unit can be able to control it

Setting up my computer and moniter says, drive 0 not found:serial ata,sata-0 hit f1 to continue, when I do nothing happens.

Is the computer new? If so, return it. If not, Unplug from AC, reseat ALL HDD cables, reboot, If that fails remove the HDD , test, replace if necessary. Have you tried a system restore/recovery, If the computer does not ID the HDD, it's doubtful you can.

in control panel, select the power Options,, Change the preffered plans to HIGH PERFORMANCE then click on change plan settings, change turn of diaplayto never and put computer to sleep never... Remember to turn on your screen saver and put the pc to sleep manually when not using it.

this is a common problem and caused by corrupted registry entries. The popper fix is to reformat or restore the system.

Cant shut computer off and have no moniter. the moniter is fine

I think what you are saying is that you lost the image on the screen, so that you can't navigate with the mouse to the normal shutdown procedure. In an emergency you can just pull the plug. There is some risk to the file structure, but most likely everything will be ok.
If the screen got scrambled or black because you set the resolution wrong, then you don't want to just plug it back in and reboot. As soon as the blue screen comes up, you want to hit the <F5> function key, in order to go into safe mode. This will prevent it from doing the final initializations, such as setting your last video resolution. And it will give you a chance to undo it.

What you should try at this point is shut everything down, Unplug your desktop, hook it back up to tour moniter and boot. If you now get a picture, go to your device manger and click on display adaptors. If you have more than one selection. choose your monitor. Let me know if this works.

Hi kelden !

Usually when a computer fails to start, and all it does is making repetitive beeps, it means that something is wrong with the RAM memory.
Try to take off the RAM modules, clean the contacts, and put it back again firmly.

Best of luck,

Video controller problem? pc wont come on

You have a few things going on.

1.) missing drivers
Please visit and do the automatic device finder on there site. It will give you all intel related drivers for your system.

2.)Need to get your video card drivers fixed to but you did not mention who manufactured the video cards. If its nividia you can goto and hit up the downloads section to have the nividia app auto scan for nividia products.

3.)sounds also like you may have some infections on your system a virus scanner would not help you with. Please be sure to goto and get cleaner, advanced system care, and spybot search and destroy. This should be a big help.
