The computer should beep ONCE when starting-up.
More than one BEEP implies either that the video-card is not responding, or that it is not fully "seated" in its slot.

Try a different video-card in your desktop.

My monitor keeps giving me a no signal message after i turn on my computer

  1. make sure that the video cable is properly connected between the monitor and computer
  2. change the video cable
  3. do a monitor selftest
  • turn off the monitor
  • disconnect it from the power outlet
  • disconnect it from the computer
  • turn on the monitor without the video cable
if you see the monitor information (a box with RGB white colors, the monitor is working)

  • problem might be the cable, video input port of the monitor or the video output port of the computer

No signal on monitor when powered up 3 long beeps

Hey there,

Beeps generally point to RAM, this would also be why the monitor has no signal as the computer wouldn't be POSTing. I'd suggest reslotting the RAM and if this doesn't work then swap out the stick with a new one :)
