No I don't think it will. They make a tool however that will allow you to change the schrader valve core without losing any charge. You can get them at HVAC supply stores. ($30+)

Where is the a/c port location

The A/C charging port is on the low pressure or suction side of the compressor. You'll find it under a screw on cap that protects the Schrader valve that opens the system to add gas and closes to seal it when done - it is the same valve used to add air to a tire.

What is a schrader valve?

A Schrader valve looks like a slightly oversized tire valve and is used for R-12 AC recharging and for a pressure test connection on fuel injection systems.

My innertube leaks air and i am no familiar with the air intake device on it

There are two kinds of valve on bicycle tubes, Presta and Schrader. You are probably more familiar with Schrader because this is the type used on cars and most bikes. And I am guessing that you have Presta on this bike (Presta is skinnier than Schrader, and it has a little nut that you unscrew, where Schrader has a spring inside it. Google images for "Presta Schrader" and you will see both kinds, and you will also see a little screw-on adaptor that you can use on a Presta to make it fit your pump or air-hose like a Schrader. You can buy these adapters on-line or at any bike store. Good luck!

I have a samsung 1 year old fridge that wont get cold at all. the compressor, evap and condensor fans all run and i installed a schrader valve on low side to try to vacuum and charge with no luck. it

Compressor should rapidly bring pressure down from standing pressure to running pressure when switched on. If no change, compressor not pumping. Make sure the line tap valve isn't leaking, and the gas you used was correctly charged.

Where do I add freon to my '96 lumina?

You will add R134a refrigerant to the low pressure side. There willl be to schrader valves, one for the high, and low pressure sides. You can only charge the low side. To locate the inlet, you will follow the lines off of the a/c if you are not sure where they are, it will have a cap over the schrader valve that reads L, that is the one that you charge.

The A/C high side valve is leaking on my 1994 Chevy Silverado 1500. It's an R134a system. Can the valve be replaced

yes with a schrader valve removal tool but before you do that check for dirt in the openning of the valve and if no dirt try to tighten schrader valve hope this helps

Need to replace schrader valve on vacuum side of Carrier Model 38CK030300. How do I do it?

They make a special tool that will allow you to remove the schrader valve while loosing only a minimum of refrigerant. One of these tools will run you about 40 bucks.

Suction line ices up from the suction line schrader valve to the compressor. It is not over charged. Does not cool very well.

Is there a base valve or valve by the schrader?
It sounds like you have a restriction where the line starts to freeze up,like maybe there's a valve there thats not completely open, if not then you could be low on refrigerant or your metering device isn't opening completely.

Seems the AC is freezing up after about 30 or 40 minutes. After it unfreezes, it will work fine for another 30 or 40 minutes. I believe that the freon levels are correct.

If you have ice accumulating on the evaporator, there should be no air blowing out the registers because the air will be stopped at the evaporator.
If this is happening, the a/c is not cycling on and off as often as it should. At 70 degrees F, it should cycle on and off about 4 times/minute. Less when hotter.

If not cycling off at all, replace the screw-in pressure switch on top of the accumulator under the hood near the fire wall on passenger side.

report results of test.

The A/C cycling switch is mounted on a Schrader valve-type fitting on the suction accumulator/driver.
  • A valve depressor, located inside the threaded end of the A/C cycling switch, presses in on the Schrader valve stem.
  • This allows the suction or low side pressure to control the operation of the A/C cycling switch.
  • The electrical switch contacts open when the suction pressure drops. The contacts close when the suction pressure rises. For specifications regarding operating pressure(s), refer to Section 412-00 .
  • When the A/C cycling switch contacts close, the A/C clutch field coil is energized.
  • When the A/C cycling switch contacts open, the A/C clutch field coil is de-energized and compressor operation stops.
  • The A/C cycling switch will control the A/C evaporator core pressure at a point where the plate/fin surface temperature will be maintained slightly above freezing.
  • This prevents icing of the A/C evaporator core and blockage of airflow.
  • It is not necessary to discharge the refrigerant system to remove the A/C cycling switch.
