Samsung refridgerator freezes due to clogged drain line.

I would look for bad door gaskets. Sounds crazy but if you have bad gaskets, you will let in more moist air and the freezer will freeze up faster. If the fridge is freezing up I would look at the slide from the freezer to the fridge and see if it is stuck open. During the defrost cycle the unit should drain and fill the drain pan, but the normal operation of the compresser should be able to evaporate the water with ease. Look at the door gaskets and the vent. Good luck

Have a magic chef refridgerator and the water is leaking on the items below. Fan is working fine in the freezer compartment. There is icicles on the divider board. Checked the hole where the water...

Hello,

at the back of the fridge there is a water drain hole. this will be blocked. you will have to unblock by pushing a thin wire etc down it, then pour a little warm water down to confirm it has been unblocked. if otherwise

There are two issues that may cause leaks near the door of your fridge. The fridge door may not close in full or the rubber gasket which encompasses the door frame may be clogged or torn, thus causing condensation and leaks. To repair this problem, you need to discover the faulty component. If the gasket is dirty, clean it by rinsing with a sponge. Check if an item in the refrigerator is preventing the door from closing properly. If the gasket is somehow impaired, replace it. When buying a new gasket, it is best to buy one that matches your fridge model or type of door. The more general the gasket, the harder it is to install it.

If the leak caused by the gasket, you may have to check the door and ensure that it closes tightly. If it does not close well, you may use the door screws and bolts to fix the problem. Another remedy is to put the refrigerator at a slight angle. Some fridges have adjustable legs, but if your model does not have such, you may want to buy some wooden shims or sheets of plywood and put them beneath the fridge.
Fridge Leaks due to the Drain Pan
The drain pan functions to catch water from condensation so that it does not leak over the floor of your kitchen. If the drain pan is somehow damaged, it may be the reason why you have a puddle of water around the fridge. The pan is located underneath the fridge. Pull it off, drain the condensed water from it, and check if there are any punctures into it. If there are some, you should buy a new pan or somehow repair the current one. One possible way to check your drain pan is to fill it with tap water once you have cleaned it.

Hope this helpout.......

Have condensation/water and ice on the top of the inside freezer door, amcor 500E 10 years old, just changed the gasket seals, it sseems to be sealed all around the door

Condensation indicates warm air intrusion. Take a dollar bill and close it in the door. Tug lightly and there should be some resistance. Check all the way around every 6 inches or so. you will find the problem area. heat the gasket with the door closed using a hair dryer or heat gun(careful with the gun it will melt if you stay in one spot more than a second at a time)

Is it worth replacing a door gasket on a 25 year old freezer. It is a Kenmore 6. Upright. It does not seal tight anymore.

Is the door gasket torn?? if not try cleaning the rubber surface that makes contact with the metal portion of the fridge and clean the metal area also, because inside the rubber gasket is a magnet that helps the gasket seal properly.I've seen door gaskets range in price from $50.00-$100.00 so if thats the only problem it sure beats buying a new fridge for a whole lot more money.

My Kenmore frig/freezer's shelf continually has a sheet of ice.

I was told to check the doors gaskets when buying a fridge. The gasket must seal all around. Check by using a dollar bill. The dollar bill when placed anywhere along the door gasket must be held tight when the door is closed, it is held when you try to skip the bill off. If the bill is not held, the gasket is defective. This means there must not be any gaps letting air into the fridge.
A thin coat of ice means air is going into the fridge and moisture in the air freezing into ice.
Some doors flex and warp causing a bad gasket seal, or the gallery is bad. Just one probable cause for icing in the fridge

Freezer door pops open when close fridge

There are a few things you could try. Make sure both the gasket and the area around the opening that the gasket rests on are clean dry and not iced over. Make sure your fridge is level. If those do not work you may need a new gasket. One thing is for sure it is Not normal. You could also try contactging a supervisor at A&E and explain what happened. You may have got a repairman who was having a bad day or just plain lazy! Good Luck!

THE REFRIGERATOR FREEZER DOOR STAYS SHUT BUT THERE IS NO SUCTION AND I AM GETTING ICE CRYSTALS INSIDE THE FREEZER. WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE?

there is some thing wrong whit your door gasket, check your door gasket all around and see if is seal properly, if is broken there is places than custom make fridge gaskets. if by any chance you tuck your doors a part, may be than you dint properly adjust the door or you are missing a shim if so.
use some coins to adjust the hinges. buy placing in between the fridge body and the hinge.
place a piece of paper on the fridge and close the door it shut hold the paper all the way around the door.
Good luck :)

Freezer door stays open when bottom door is shut

Door or gasket is binding on the upper door or the door is bent. Check and loosen the mounting screws on the hinge. Realign then tighten screws. If you moved the fridge lately the door may have sprung open and is bent. Use duct tape when moving fridges to keep doors shut. The door gaskets may be out of place look on all sides top n bottom for one side making up before the other. A realignment may be all that necessary. Door gaskets warped is sometimes helped by heating it with a hair dryer. if they are coming apart its new gaskets time.

Hope this helps please rate me accordingly even if you just read this. And Good Luck.

Refrigerator Door Gasket Has Split

I FIND IT VERY STRANGE THAT THE ENTIRE DOOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN THE EVENT THAT THE RUBBER IS FAULTY.I NO FOR A FACT THAT SOME SAMSUNG FRIDGE RUBBERS ARE QUITE HARD TO REPLACE AND THE QUICKEST SOLUTION FOR THE TECH IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE DOOR.TO ESTABLISH IF THE RUBBER IS REPLACABLE I SUGGEST YOU LIFT THE GASKET IN ONE CORNER AND LOOK FOR A GROOVE OR SCREWS.SOME RUBBERS ARE BASED ON A PUSH IN PULL OUT BASIS.IF YOU FIND IT HARD TO ESTABLISH WHICH IT IS I THINK ITS BEST YOU ASK SAMSUNG TO SEND YOU A MORE ADVANCED TECH TO ASSIST YOU IN THAT REGARD.ALSO YOU CAN VISIT SAMSUNG WEBSITE AND FIND A TECH NEAR YOU.

GOODLUCK.
