Just had a great engieer round who looked at it and sait its the two thermostats on the heating element, took the side off replaced the thermostats and worked straight away. He showd me how the element had got hot in places because something had stoped the sprayer arm rotating and the element dose not sit in the water but relies on falling spray to heat up. He explaned he does 2 or theree of these a month in local schools where spatulas fall through the cuttlery baskes and stop the arm!

My dishwasher gives an E3 error

The E3 error code is not a defined error for this dishwasher. If you are sure it is E3 then best option is to give the controller a reset. This is done by

Press the Delay Start + Normal + Power keys at the same time for two seconds to enter Service Inspection Mode.
- "ALL" is displayed for the first three (3) seconds and then "t1" is displayed.

Press OFF at this stage. Do not attempt to run the inspection as this could damage the dishwasher unless you are familiar with the what each mode does.
If the Error E3 keeps coming back then call the Samsung technician.

Error code E3 on Samsung DMS500TRW dishwasher

3E error in Samsung dishwashers normally relates to high temperature error. This means the dishwasher is detecting over 80deg C water temperature. However if it is 5E that means drain error. If your dishwasher is draining correctly then please check the error again.

Dishwasher showing e3 error

E3 error arises due to the malfunction of temp sensor or the heating element. Check for the thermostat.

What is the error message E3 ?

The E3 message on your Baumatic dishwasher is a malfunction of the temp sensor or the heating element. Test each part separately and replace the faulty part.

Water is not heating in dishwasher

On the BDW13 Baumatic dishwasher I had the same problem, as I fix gas boilers I ohm tested the heating element, which was ok, I then tipped the machine on its side and took the bottom off, be careful, always disconnect the electric and water, underneath there are two thermostats, I know them as thermistors on a boiler, they screw into the brackets that hold the element in place inside the dishwasher, I unscrewed them after removing the wire connectors(pull off) I then ohm tested them and found one was an open circuit(faulty) the problem is, the one that was faulty is a non-self-resetting type, which means it has to be replaced once it has tripped, which is a real pain, the other one resets after it has cooled down.

E3 usually indicates the heater element has failed perhaps it has now also blown a fuse?

Kenwood kdw8st2a dishwasher e3 fault

The readings appear ok to me. The circuit that controls the element and any fuse in that circuit have to be suspected now.
