Easy: see the big silver battery on the motherboard? Gently (without breaking the prong keepin' it in) remove it for 5 minutes, put it back and power the pc.

How do you master reset pasword on acer aspire one netbook??

Hi, don't worry. windows password unlocker can help you.
Just download it from http://www.passwordunlocker.com/products/wpu.html

There are free methods as well, you can search for them in google. Manual changing of password requires an advance user.

You can also reset your netbook using recovery disk. Please see this: http://www.ehow.com/how_5833609_restore-acer-aspire-one-series.html

To reset your bios password please refer to either one:
!BIOS - is a PC BIOS toolkit offering password removal/decrypt and BIOS settings modification/backup/restore.

CmosPwd - Cmos password recovery tools

Please let me know if it was helpful.

Thanks

I need key to unlock my dell D505 bios. this is the service tag : #9SQ8FIJ-595B

OK, you're good, but have your RTM? Read The Manual? If removing the CMOS battery did not reset it, then somewhere in the manual they give you instructions on how to reset it.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "DellSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Manuals and search them looking for Bios, Bios Password, etc.

Bios is passworded lost the password to open bios is there any way I can clear password to open bios?

What you can do. On your motherboard, there is a small quarter sized battery. the battery (taken out) will sometimes reset BIOS. or you can jumper the 2 pins in your motherboard booklet.

If not, find your BIOS name and version. such as Phoenix, and theres a couple more. try too google for: (My Bios) backdoor entry, Should help.

Advanced BIOS setting

Hello,

I would suggest using the set bios default option on the main screen. This should reset everything to factory defaults.

Be sure to exit saving settings. After that, assuming there's no hardware damage, it should start fine.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.

Thanks

Motherboard stop recognize SATA HDD after BIOS reset (default)

You'll likely need either a driver disk for your SATA drive to be recognized by Windows XP during installation or Windows XP with Service Pack 2 built in to install without a driver disk.

Creating a Windows XP installation CD with Service Pack 2 or "SP2" built in is fairly straight forward. This is called "slip streaming". Step - by - step directions can be found in the following links:

When i turn the computer on it prompts for a bios password.

Apparently, this laptop sets the password by itself because of some kind of glitch in the earlier BIOS releases. I believe this problem was fixed with the latest BIOS release.
But how can you upgrade the laptop BIOS to the latest version if you cannot bypass the password?
1. If the laptop is still under warranty take it to an authorized repair center. They should clear the BIOS password without any charge.
2. If the laptop is not under warranty, you can try to clear the BIOS password yourself. You’ll find instructions here and here.
After the password has been cleared, upgrade the laptop BIOS to the latest version. You can download it from the Toshiba website.
