Water should normally go into the top of a filter and out the bottom.

Your pump should be sucking water from the body of water, through the pump, into the top of filter #1, out the bottom, into the top of filter #2 out the bottom back to the body of water.

Alternatively, the water may be coming from the body of water into the pump, into the top of both filters at the same time, out the bottom of both filters and back to the body of water.

Water SHOULD NOT go into the bottom of the filter when running in filter mode. If this is the way you have it, all the junk you filter from the pool will be stuck in the laterals and the sand in the bottom. You will never be able to clean (back wash) the filter.

If your filters are DE or Cartridge, the same idea applies.

I hope this has answered your question.

Leaking water from the hose connections

Had the same problem w/the water inlet w/initial installation. When the water inlet was hooked to the faucet and into the washer, water leaked on the washer end. The manual tells you to put a new "flat" washer (provided) in the washer machine water inlet, but water still leaked. It's actually the not flat washer, it's more of an "U" shape washer that goes into the washer machine water inlet and fits right over the filter in the water inlet valve. Leak was solved, but faucet was on and water was not filling in the drum. Turn power on, select cycle, water level, and press start and water should start filling the drum.

Kenmore elite dishwasher valve # 8531325 let water run outside the dishwasher. I removed the valve inlet and nothing seems to be wrong with it. When I start a cycle, the water splashes out the valve...

It is likely the water pressure is too high for the dishwasher. Can you check if the setting has not shifted to Low pressure. Try to run the dishwasher with mains tap feeding water inlet to a lower setting.

Where are the duel water inlet valves located on ge fridge arctic profile

unless you have a water dispenser, top mount refrigerators usually only have a single inlet water valve. Either way, the valves will be located in the back on the machine and covered by the lower portion cover, but will have a small area for the water line to hook up. Just remove the lower panel in the back and you will be able to see it

Water dispenser will not work

HI. First, you will need to rule out any standard issues that will cause this. Check the internal, and external feed lines for any obstructions. Make sure that the internal lines are not frozen, or kinked. If the lines check out ok, move on to the water filter(if equipped).

In most units, there will be a filter, present. These devices are set to operate on a particular time frame. If their filtering limit is met, the filter will stop filtering water, thus, not allowing the fluid to flow, at all. Make sure that the filter is up to date. If you have verified that the filter is ok, move on to the water inlet valve assembly.

The water inlet valve is located behind your refrigerator. Find the water supply line coming into the valve and turn it off at the source (typically under the sink). Disconnect the supply line. Remove the screws that secure the inlet valve in place.

The water inlet valve is connected by two wires. Label the wire placement on the water inlet valve before disconnecting the wires. The wires are connected to the terminals with slip on connectors

Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals (do not pull on the wire). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If the connectors are corroded they should be replaced.

Inspect the filter screen where the supply line connects. Remove any debris or deposits that may have built up using a toothbrush, or warm running water. If you cannot clear the clog, it will be necessary to replace the valve (the filter is not removable on most inlet valves).

Test the water inlet valve for continuity using a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X100 (if available, otherwise use the nearest ohm setting). Place a probe on each terminal. The multimeter should display a reading of 200 to 500 ohms. Close inspection of the inlet valve and especially the coil may reveal the exact ohm resistance rating to test for. If the water inlet valve does not pass this test, it should be replaced.

The cold water inlet is slow to fill machine but the hot water inlet works fine

Hi just read your posting.Could you please supply the model of your hoover and tell me if it is a front or top loader. The fault on your machine is due to a faulty cold water valve or dirty inlet filter.Turn the cold tap off and remove the cold water hose from the tap end and check to see if the little filter at the end of the hose is blocked. If it is, clean it and put back the hose to the tap and try a wash cycle. Please reply with additional information and to tell me how you got on with the filter.

Possible Mixing valve Problem

I would pull the lines off the back and check the inlet filter on the hot and cold sides of the water inlet and clean the screen style filter. If you just use cold is the water cold if the cold water valve was bad then you would get no cold wate when set to cold.

DOES THE THIS FRIDGE MODEL #106.74912401 REQUIRE TO REPLACE WATER FILTER FOR FRONT DOOR WATER DISPENSE?? ITS A KENMORE ELITE

HI. When a filter has reached its filtering limit, it must be replaced. Once the filter has reached its filtering limits, it will not allow for proper water flow. This will affect the operating status of the dispenser. With that being said, there are other issues that will affect the dispensers abilities as well. These issues are a faulty water inlet valve assembly, and frozen inlet lines. If you are having issues with the dispenser, make sure you inspect these areas as well. Your filter should have an installation date on the label. check to see that it is not over a year old. if so, it should be replaced.

The filter is located behind the front lower grille work. The grille should have a cut out space for it to slide into.

E10 error code

I had this problem, the washer/dryer stopped working while in the drying cycle and displayed e10 message. It was caused by a faulty three-way inlet valve. The solenoid controlling flow to dryer condenser proved to be open circuit. Pulled washer out from under counter top, unplugged, removed top cover, tested solenoid circuits with ohm meter and found one solenoid was faulty. The filter going into the unit was clear. Replaced whole three way component with one ordered on Internet and all now works fine. Noticed that during drying cycle, water to condenser is constantly being switched on and off, explaining why the green condenser solenoid is the one that wears out first.
