Hi! try to check if the other memory module that you used is compatible with the system. Try to reseat ram again and check if it will help.try to power drain the system first before reseating ram(unplug power cable, press and hold power button and then plug the power cable back then restart the machine).Hope this helps.

I have upgraded my tc1100 to 1.5Gs of memory. The description on the memory module is ( Super * Talent D400SBG/H STT DDR-400 PC3200 SO-DIMM Hynix 1G/64X8). The problem is the computer initially boots into...

It sounds like that memory should be compatible with your tablet PC. It may be a bad memory stick -- try to replace it with a different memory stick (preferably from a different manufacturer) and see if it still gives you the same problem.
If you didn't have this problem before you installed the new memory, a different memory stick will likely correct the issue. You can also try removing the new memory and see if the PC boots up like it should.

I installed 2GB of Crucial memory on my Dell XPS 400 (In slots 3 and 4), but when I rebooted the computer, it booted up but then nothing - blank screen. I tried removing the new memory and again same thing...

Did you wear a anti-static wrist band when you replaced the memory? Or did you werag gloves?
Please note that you should never touch computer memory with your bare hands, because it can discharge the memory.
Thankfully the chance is very small.

Another thing could be that the memory is not placed right. It has to fit right in the slots.

If you boot up with the old memory do you also get a blank screen? If no, then probably the speed is different. (Please check if it is 533, 677, 800 mhz, or different

Dell D600 won't boot

I am sure Not the CPU or fan problem. Follow the below step to repair it.
1. Just press the power button 5 seconds or more to see the laptop can reboot or not. 2. replug the memory modules. 3. maybe the power supply device failed that the electronic volt is not enough to boot the laptop. Just replace a new Dell latitude d600 battery power supply.

You may need to install memory in matching pairs. If the new memory is a single 1Gb module and you didn't already have a similar one they may not work together. Try removing the original module(s) and see if it makes a difference.

Dell 1501 inspiron laptop blank screen

Hi,

Have you installed any application/program prior to the blue screen? Most blue screen causes your system not to boot to your operating system anymore. It is possible that your hard drive is crashed due to a virus infections or spywares. Incompatibility and corrupted system registry may affect your system to have blue screen as well.

You may try the following steps below.

1. Restart your computer. After you pressed the power button to restart. Keep on tapping F8 key on the keyboard on and off.

2. Boot advanced option will show up on the screen. You may boot your computer to the following option.

a. Last known good configuration
b. Safe mode with Networking.

If Safe mode w/networking works, restore your computer to an earlier using the system restore features.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

jeff

Dead pc

try to remove all external device connected to your computer. just leave the keyboad, mouse and monitor connected.
restart computer.
if still a blank screen
remove everything connected to your computer (mouse kyeboard and monitor) restart if nothing happens
open your computer and remove all devices (hard drive, optical drives, memory... restart,,, you should be hearing beeping sounds indicating motherboard is looking for memory. try putting back 1 memory at a time and checking all mem slot. to identify if one of the memory could be causing the blank screen. if both memory will not work try to use known good working memory. if you dont get to hear the beeping sound using a known good working memory. your memory is the problem.
give me more info

From the failures its probably a RAM memory problem , which means that you should try a different ram module that is working , or if possible try the ram module of this pc in another one thats working.
