Question about Electrical Supplies

Good Morning. The downstairs lights are not working.I checked the fuse box[Hager]and the fuse swich was off for the lights,i flicked this back on thinking lights would come back on [apart from supposed dodgy one]but nothing happened and the switch stayed in the on position.Does this mean a fuse has blown in the switch[mt106],if so how do i get it out? Thanks

First, is this Hager a fuse panel, fuse along with switch
or breaker panel? There is a reason why it tripped,
lets straighten out with the clarification first.

I assume you mean circuit breaker when you say fuse. If you reset the breaker to "on" and the lights still don't work, look for a GFI outlet somewhere in the circuit. It could be tripped which will shut off the current downstream from it if it is set up to guard the downstream circuit.

Hager fuse box

by fuse box I assume you mean breaker panel. sometimes when a breaker goes bad, it can trip and you wont be able to tell until you go to reset it. if you are positive the dishwasher is getting power, then check the back of the dishwasher where the wires going in. there is probably a terminal block where the wires are connected. check there with a multi meter. be careful. use rubber gloves if you are going to do it.

All those items are controlled by the switch box, on the left side of the handlebar, check that the wiring junction box to that switch box has good connections. Use a volt meter to check for power supply also check if the fuses are ok.

My turn signals quit working, and ichecked the fuses in the main fuse box.they are all good but the signals or indicaters neither one light up.All other lights work. What now?

Check the flasher relay, it is possible that the relay has gone out without triggering any fuses. sometimes a good hard flick or tap of the relay box will get it working again temporarily untill you can get it replaced.

No sign of life in the oven. No light, no fan, no heat. Worked two days ago. Checked main house fuse box - no problem there.

if the main fuse box breaker looks good then there is a chance that the outlet that the oven is plugged into is bad and there is no power there. also that outlet could be inline with a GFCI outlet in the kitchen and that outlet could have failed. check to see if you have power at the outlet and if you don't -- trace back from there.
( also -- sometimes the breaker looks ok and it in fact is not -- flick it off and back on and then see if you now have power to that outlet / oven ).

Headlights flick on and off

Check your relay but most of the time it's your light switch that has gone bad. The swithch heat's up after a while and then that when the flickering happens if not stop working. Good luck and hope this helps

ljones, Did you check the "VEH stop" fuse in the left side instrument panel fuse box. There are 3 stop light fuses, 1 for all the stop lights located in the under hood fuse box. 2 in the left side IP fuse box. 1 for the upper stop light and 1 for the lower stop lights. The fuse box in the IP is where the upper and lower stop lights split. Let me know.
