Hi,
you can try and download a fan override program which makes the fan run no matter what, have you tried that? here it is. if it doesent help then your going to have to take it in.

Computer keeps shuting down

The fan area of your PC is probably stuffed with some rubbish which is sticking the fan and/or overheating it - which causes the PC to shutdown every few minutes.

Open your PC and remove the rubbish

Overheating

The overheating fan is not controlled by a software, there are three reasons why your fan overheats. First in the hard drive, your fan is not connected properly. Second you need thermal paste to keep the metal part of the fan to stick to the CPU to cool it down. The last thing is that the fan could be dusty and not running as usual.

It says boot error shutting down and my pc won't recognise it

I have also had the same problem. Go to Google mail and type "MMP8567 boot error" in the search. You will get results where there is links to get the firmware. Especially, from FixYa. Down load the firmware and install it in your PC. Then it will format your player and install the new firmware. Your recorded songs will be lost.

You have experienced a system emergency shutdown. In otherwords, your computer crashed. You can:
1: reinstall your operating system.
2: use a OS recovery disk to reboot the system.
3: send the computer to a data recovery specialist.
4: return the computer if the warranty is still valid.

Good Luck!
