I think this is the correct unit for a PDV-705.
The unit pictured is a 9VDC 2.2amp which is about 20 watts.

Lost ac adaptor
You need any AC adapter that has an output of 9 volts and between 1.5 and 2.5 amps.

Durabrand DUR-7 dvd player
the 12 volt car adapter only puts 9v to the dvd player. It is poorly marked. It really only runs on 9v. If you plug 12v into it it will smoke... thats what mine did.
