Question about Cameras
Could you let me know if there is a Company (not ELTEK as they do not provide this service anymore) or individual who can upgrade the old CCD of an ELMO telecine converter model TRV-R8 and S8...to a more up to date 3 CCD camera system? I would greatly appreciate your input. Thank you.
Contact Canon. I had the same problem and eventhough it was outside of warranty they fixed it for free because they recognized this as one of their own problems with the camera. Unfortunately I have the problem again. So I am going to see if Canon will fix it again for me. Good luck!

Your camera ccd-TRV328 has defect with ccd imager that's why not giving picture in camera / recording mode. This part (ccd imager) needs to be replaced and good news Sony will replace it free of cost.
Please click Sony Official Website for details.

To do this you will need a firewire cable 4 to 6 pin, here a link:
you'll plug the 4 pin connector, that's the smaller one, into the DV port on the camera, then you'll plug the 6 pin into the computer's firewire port.
now open WMM, iMovie, Adobe Premire, whatever you are editing with:
imove: got to capture> video from camera, in the new one there should be a little button with a camera, just click that
WMM: Click record> from camera, then put your camera in playback mode, and hit record on WMM, start playing and BAM. same prcess for recording applies to pretty much all of them.

You need a computer with video card capable to take composite or super video input if you have that then the software it come with that video card then you can transfer from your CAM to computer and burn into DVD or HDD

There are 3 round knobs and 1 Autostart switch on the control panel. The key to rewinding this machine is by pushing the gray button down, while turning the Motor Knob to the "Run" position. Of course you'll need to start the original film back on its reel, directly. (Do not thread the film as you would normally.) BTW, you can show your films in reverse by using the Reverse button on the motor switch while its running. Hope this helps. Now, if I can find someone who can guide me in re-assembling my Elmo projector's lens, which I dis-assembled in order to clean the crud off the multi-lenses in the main lens unit itiself.
