MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

I am using samsung GT-S 5233a i got a pc studio disc with the phone. My laptop is windows 7 ultimate and i cant install pc studio to my laptop. because of that i cant connect to my phone with my laptop...

Hello,

Perhapse this worked (without New pc studio, But install samsung Drivers from CD).

Solution: In your cellphone go to Settings---> Phone settings---> PC connections and select Media player option (or Ask on connection). Connect your cable (if you select Ask on connection option, you should response to your cellphone and select Media player option )and when the cellphone connected, open the My computer. Perhapse you can see your cellphone there.

How to download music and videos from a computer to a cellphone?

Hello,

Depending on you're cellphone's model most cell phones now have a mini USB port to sync with computers.Once you have a USB cable that is compatible with you're phone you can use Windows Media player(Theres alot of other options if you dont have Windows Media Player)to upload files to you're cellphone.

Hope this helps!

I have the Samsung SCH-R500 cellphone. Using Windows Media Player on my laptop, I downloaded in MP3 format from a music CD onto an SD microchip portable device (yes, I did format the chip beforehand). ...

The instructions which came with my phone state that the card must be formatted using the phone... done under Tools > Mass Storage. My instructions also state that music transfer is only possible using bluetooth or the USB cable. However, I found this to be untrue. After formatting the card using the phone, I placed the card in my computer and created a folder on the card called my_music. Placing mp3s in this folder seems to add them to my phone's playlist.

Your music may be located in a folder your phone doesnt recognize...that happend to me at first.

First you want to format your memory card through your phone. This will place the required folders on the card.

I used Windows media player to sync the music on my computer to the memory card using a media port on my computer. (just inserting the card directly to my computer). Once music was downloaded I looked at the card through "my computer", and noticed folders...one named "Music" and the other named "My Music". I moved the files from "Music" to My Music". Reinserted the card into my phone and the phone picked them up.

Error message M506

I also had this problem and thought my music players were broken. The media players displayed the songs as 00:00:00 even when the file info read that it took up space and had a song length. The music player displayed that m506 error message.

I looked through forms for an answer, and I noticed I didn't try messing with one thing: THE BATTERY.

Try taking the battery out of your phone and putting it back in. It worked for me! My music players work again!

Sansa e260 won't let me download certain music

If you used Windows Media Player to "rip" (copy) the music to your computer. The default settings are to "copy protect my music" if you didnt change this setting, the Sansa will want a "license" to go with it. Resolution, change the setting in Windows Media Player, Tools>Options>Rip Music (uncheck copy protect my music). You can also change the default rip setting to Mp3, as opposed to Windows Media Audio. Then you would have to re-rip the tracks to your PC, as unprotected. Make sure you delete the old tracks from the device, otherwise, it will always give you that error message. Best of Luck.
