Yes if it has a expandable SD CARD, no if your talking about internal memory. What you should have done here is told it to leave the photos on the camera when you sycn. But that is not past tense so YES if you have a SDCARD and no if its internal memory.

Cameras internal memory have write protections on it so you do not accidently transmit a virus or malware or what have you. Internal memory is not for perm storage you should always sync to save the data because if the battery gets to low on some cameras then chances are that data will get corupted. Think safe! Think backup you be glad you did.

please do be considerate of my time and efforts here when you pass threw my solutions or other experts to leave a vote! or some feedback before you leave today, it takes only secounds, Thanks

Using my ultra flip camera: when I playback my videos on my computer the images are choppy, jumpy or in slow motion while the audio is fine. what can i do?

Two possible Solutions

1) Have you transferred the videos off your flip, and on to your computers hard drive?

USB ports have greatly increased in speed in the last few years but they can still have trouble playing "live" video directly from the camera.

Solution: Plug in your flip. Drag the files to your "desktop" or "my documents" or any other place you like to store them. Play the files from there.

2)Does the video playback ok on your flip? Or on a different computer?

If so the solution is simple, but expensive. Your computer does not have enough processing power/ memory to play back the video. Full uncompressed video is a very large file and most computers older than 2 years have trouble rendering the video frames fast enough. The HD we see on sites like youtube and even on Blu-ray have been compressed. When the files come off the camera they are not compressed and require alot of computing power.

Solution: Buy a new computer. Sorry I know it is an expensive fix. The good news you don't need anything too fancy. A laptop with a 2+ Ghz (gigahertz) processor and 3+ GB of memory, will do the trick and cost between $300-$500.

Hope that helped

I just got the flip ultra hd for christmas and was charging it then my computer screen went all weird and couldn't read the screen and all my icons on my computer were all big. i tried this three times and...

FLipSHARE software isn't compatible with Vista Aero and some other visual settings, SO, when you plug in your Fllip camera, the FlipShare software changes your desktop settings to go with their camera. They should go back to how you had visuals set before the camera was plugged in once you remove the camcorder. No green light shows when charged, a Red light shows up and glows during charge and when the red light goes out it is fully charged.

Failure in the camera's USB ports

Finally I solved it!!!!
Situation: My Computer (MAC And PC) wasn't recognizing the FLIP ULTRA HD, because it has a corrupted file, but couldn't format because there was no communication between camera and computer

Solution:
1. Charge your batteries until get the FULLY CHARGED icon (Green Battery)
2. then remove the batteries without unplugging the USB 3. Voila...computer recognize the USB
4. Format the Camcorder with the Following tutorial: http://www6.nohold.net/CiscoFlip/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=763c871b45fc4b20b5a671b24c909

We have some videos we want to transfer to the computer. We are running Mac OSX with the Leopard software. When I attach the camera, I see the point and shoot icon for a short time and then I hear a beep...

Put the batteries in the camera, then connect via the USB flip connection. The camera will show up on the desktop like a flash drive does. Open it when it shows up. Drill until you find the avi movies and drag them to your desktop. You may have to convert them to quicktime files. If you cannot use the software that came with the camera (it does work), you can import the sections into iMovie.
