The BA-II Plus is designed for financial applications. It does not do fractions, as do some calculators intended for school use.

The y^x button is located just above the 9 button, the 1/x button is located just above that.

Hi is there a function for finding the cubed root/custom root on the Texas Instruments ba-ii Plus Calculator


You can calculate any root by raising to the reciprocal. For example, to calculate the cube root of 125, press 1 2 5 y^x 3 1/x =

To calculate the fourth root of 16, press 1 6 y^x 4 1/x =

The y^x key is just above the 9 key. The 1/x key is just above that.

How can find logarith of a value from Texas Instruments BA 2 plus


The natural log is the LN key, located just to the left of the 7 key.

To calculate the common log, use the relationship log(x) = ln(x)/ln(10).

To calculate the natural log of 3, press 3 LN

I am trying to put something to the power of 60 on my ba ii plus texas instrument calculater but I cannot find the button. How do i do this?

You might have to contact Texas Instruments for a paper copy, but for now, I found this for ya. It is a rather large "pdf" though.

What about the other keys? Did you get a new battery yet? I think your calculator got dirty. Just open and clean it inside, especially under the keys. It may help !

Changing batteries and life span


It's written in the back of the calculator, mate ! A TI BA ii Plus uses a CR2032 battery, which is 3V, 60 micro A.
Just go to the shop and give them the battery model.
