Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I will tell you this:
When any error occurs, the operator panel indicates [J] or [U] and a number alternately for temporary errors, or [E], [F], [C], [H], [A], or [L] and a number alternately for device alarms (permanent error). Temporary errors can be solved by the operator, but the device alarm require recovery works by support engineers.
Do you have the "Error Recovery Guide" installed on your computer?
HINT: The Error Recovery Guide is stored in the Setup CD-ROM.
your error seems to be a permanent error. however, Close the ADF completely and load the document again. then test

Error code 8 means the SCSI fuse is blown off. This alarm is detected during initial processing immediately after power-on.
- Defective SCSI cable
- Other SCSI device malfunction
Check if the SCSI cable or other SCSI devices connected to the scanner cause this error. The scanner can work even after this error occurs.
If the issue persists, you may have to contact Authorised Fujitsu Engineer to rectify the error.
