In this case i would like you to connect your mp3 to the computer,after that when it actually connects go to it's icon and right click and go to format then completely format the mp3 player and try to restart you player

I had the same problem, and I was ready to take the player back. I was searching under media help and found the help I needed. This is what you need to do: open your media player. Along the top it will read Now playing, Library, Rip, Burn and then SYNC. Sync is what you need to click on. In the area that you would drag music to for a playlist will now have ' Connect A Device'. The rest should be easy to follow. Good Luck!
well sometimes that can cause the ipods server to crash thus giving you faulty buttons or when you pree the button it will do the wrong think my advice is to take it to a repair shop and ask them to repair ir for you

Sansa e200 provides a RESET function for unresponsive units. Press and hold the MENU button for 15 seconds, and this should work to regain normal funtionality. Please note: settings and adjustments from the last operation WILL BE LOST. The files however should remain.
If it is still on, hold down the power button for about 15 seconds; that should turn it off. Try turning it on again. If it still does not work, turn it off by holding power for 15 seconds, then on again like this:
- Put hold on
- Hold record
- Press power on
This will start recovery mode, follow on-screen instructions. Hope all goes well!!
