Question about Pari AC Adapter for the Respiratory Trek Compact Compressor - Model 47

Tubing coming out of machine gets very warm

I have the Pari Trek S model 047B1000 SVN machine.
Where the platic tubing connets into the machine it gets very warm from the connection about 3/4 inches up the tube. this is a worry because the tubing is plastic and may possibly be giving off dangerous chemicals, and the tubing leads up to the nebulizer that holds the medicine to be inhaled. This problem just started: after about 3 months of using the machine.

This is common that these smaller units get warm when running for longer than five minutes at a time. I have never had a problem with it overheating though. If it would make you feel better the larger Pari units rarely get warm. The Pari LC plus neb kit may need replacing. This may fix the problem.

C79t0880 what trek model is this?

Model is written in form of a decal on the frame tube. If bike has been repainted you would need multiple pics and a lot of spare time in order to identify it by going to BikePedia . Most bike shops can tell you approx. what year and perhaps model, especially if they sell Trek.

Nebulizer wing tip tubing is stuck

Searched Google today for this same problem - Vios nebulizer tubing is stuck to the compressor at the blue rubber wing end. I tried everything, including pliers, but today stuck a letter opener in and pried it off. Adding my comment for other people searching who land on this page!

Green and yellow lights flash on battery while charging

If all the lights are flashing, it normally indicated dead batteries as instructions say and I found out. Pari would have you buy a new power pack or likely high repair price to replace 2 LI-ION cells . But, unless you are very handy with electonic items, you may have no choice. We bought a 2nd unit originally and when those batteries prematurely died, I reserched and installed my own.

I have a pari trek s. The battery is dead and I am attempting to charge it. However it is not charging and will not turn on even while plugged in. While plugged in all 4 battery lights are blinking.

Unless you are very knowledgeable in electronics and wish to replace the two internal tab-soldered cells yourself (and finding capacity type required), you have only one resort. Buy a new battery pack. That is exactly what Pari wants. Too bad, because charging circuit board never fails. Only the 2 cells die prematurely.

Air is no longer pushing out with same amount of force.

It needs to cleaned - clean the tubes and medication chamber with warm distilled water and change the air filter.

Depending on which type of nebulizer she has, it should be a very simple fix. The best thing you can do is replace the disposable neb kit. This would cost less than $5. Pick up at your local medical supply company.

Air filter - where is it - how do you check it

This will vary by model. Pari compressors have a small round, slotted cover which holds the filter. Other manufacturers may place them in other locations, such as the side, or the back. Filters should be replaced on a regular schedule, such as every six (6) months, depending on use. Pari rates their filters for 500 hours, but recommends replacing the filter when you replace the nebulizer cup (if using reusable cups), which should be every 6 months to 1 year.

Sterlize my nebulizer

What is the best way to clean and disinfect my PARI Nebulizer?

Cleaning: After every treatment, thoroughly rinse the nebulizer to remove medication. Hand-wash with warm water and dish soap. Rinse thoroughly. OR... Wash in the dishwasher using a dishwasher basket on the top rack.

Disinfecting: (done after cleaning) every 2nd treatment day, mix a solution of 1 part distilled white vinegar and 3 parts warm tap water in a clean bowl. Soak the nebulizer parts (except the tubing and mask) for 60 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. OR... Mix a solution using Control III® Nebulizer Disinfectant and soak for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. OR... Boil the nebulizer parts for 10 minutes.
