Brand new...followed instructions, but when turned on it will only spin in circles unless you manually use the remote. Once it is left on it's own, it just spins in one spot.

There are a few potential reasons why an Invacare TDX SP2 wheelchair might start spinning in circles. Here are some possible causes and solutions:
Calibration issue: Sometimes, the wheelchair's control system can become slightly out of calibration, causing it to spin in circles. Try recalibrating the joystick controls by following the instructions in the user manual.
Loose connections: Check to make sure that all of the wiring connections are tight and secure, as loose connections can cause intermittent issues with the wheelchair's operation.
Wheelchair batteries: Make sure that the wheelchair batteries are fully charged and in good working condition. If the batteries are low or damaged, this could affect the wheelchair's ability to move in a straight line.
Mechanical issues: There could be a mechanical issue with the wheelchair's wheels or motors that is causing it to spin in circles. You may need to take the wheelchair to a certified repair technician to diagnose and fix the issue.
If none of these solutions work, or if you're not comfortable attempting to diagnose and fix the problem yourself, it's recommended that you contact Invacare customer support or a certified repair technician for further assistance.
Hello There,
You have not mentioned which operating system are you using i.e. win 7, win 8 or win 10.
First need to understand that you see a spinning circle at which stage, what do you see behind spinning circle, blue screen or black screen or windows logo.
Lift completely up or down on the mechanism that allows for it to STOP against the setting pins. 360 is a full circle and if you can't spin the head all the way around, readjust the mechanism until it clears both the right and left stopping pins. Once you accomplish this and turn it on, you will have 2 options for operation...progressive traveling and return traveling. The trip lever can be moved to set that accordingly.
If you are lucky then one of the 4 sensors under the bumper has dust lint buildup. Blow out these areas and give your unit a good cleaning. If it still continues to do this then the bumper bar sensor should be replaced
Spinning is caused by one of the main propellers rotating faster than the other. If both propellers are secured tightly to their drive shafts, the spin control knob on the remote control can be used to stop the spin. However, if one prop is slipping with respect to the other, the spin control knob will not fix the problem.
I've found that the set screws holding the propellers to the drive shafts tend to loosen after a while. If one prop is a bit loose and the other is tight, the relative slippage will cause the helicopter to spin.
To check, turn off helicopter power and manually rotate each propeller separately, watching the nylon gears in the body. If the propeller is moving and its drive shaft gear isn't, the propeller is slipping because its set screws are not applying enough pressure on the propeller's drive shaft.
Carefully tighten the set screw and the problem should be fixed. DON'T OVERTIGHTEN, or the plastic threads for the set screw will be stripped and the propeller assembly will be ruined.
