SOURCE: I have a desa TR-0081-BX

There is a little "diode" that should have been provided as part of the unit...it's a little wire with a B-B-sized circuit in the middle that has to be connected to the push-button at the door. This "extends" the circuit from the button to the chime unit for the full 8-notes. Hopefully you still have that part (I just about threw out mine before I read the instruction manual thoroughly. My diode just "shorted" after I power-washed my house...and I am in search of that particular part. I contacted Heath Zenith...hopefully they will give me a solution on how to get only that part. In any case, you need that diode to get the chime to play correctly.

I need a new push button for an sl6195 rx

Heath-Zenith (I beleive they bought DESA) makes a battery remote push button bell that says its compatible with all Heath Zenith chimes. I bought one at Home Depot and it worked for my SL-6195-RX. (an on line doorbell seller and the Home Depot assoc all said it wouldn't work.)
UPC is 16963961975.
Item also shows a code "11G43" on a sticker on the back of the package.

I have a door chime SL-6195-RX with outside door push button. I have changed batteries in both units and still does not work.

The contacts in the outside push button unit may need cleaning. They do get dirty over time. If that doesn't solve your problem you can contact the Zenith Company, who is now is the manufacturer for tech service issues. 800-858-8501.

Hope this helps solve your problem.

Why does chimes sound when no one as pressed bell

water can get into the button on door inside is a spring that pushes a part of the switch away from the other and when someone presses it they join together and bell sounds but if the rain gets inside it can make an electrical connection between the two points open it up and see if there is any trace of water the just put a bit of pva glue over the top join on the switch it will water proof it and will also be easy to remove or it could be a low battery or if mains anything can set them off mobile phones tv any thing that sends a rf signal its best to have as small a gap as possible between the two units

I have a wireless SL-6151-RX-A door chime and it does not ring

Check that the dipswitches on the button and the reciever doorbell unit match. Also verify that your battery is not installed the wrong way.

SL-6195-RX seems three houses have the same

Open up both the button and the main unit and switch the codes with the pins. It done on a row of pin sets - Default is usually connectors on 5-6-7 (8 is on the main bell unit and causes the ding-**** to change to a Westminster chime).
With a pair of needle nose pliers pull the connector and set them on different numbers. You must do this on both pieces, When you have a unique code its no longer an issue with the neighbors.
