Question about Video Game Consoles & Games

1 Answer

I go to play the my player mode and then click on Play next and the screen goes black and the wii freezes up and i have to go unplug the wii from the wall to get it to respond again. Nba 2k10 works on every other mode and doesnt have any problems just when i got to my player and want to play the next game. Im not sure if its the game or wii. May i receive some assistance please? Thanks, Kal Miller

Have you checked the condition of the game disc? Sounds like there may be a problem spot on the game disc where it tries to load that part of the game.

Are you using internal Wii memory to load your profile? Or SD card?

ive cleaned the disc multiple times so i doubt if is the disc. Ive saved the data on the wii and i think it might have to do with corrupt data or something

It's rare, but very possible especially if the Wii may have been shut down during a save.

The best thing to do might be to go into the Wii Internal Memory, locate the saved game information, and delete it. It stinks because you will have to start from the beginning of My Player mode and your progress will be gone -- but that should fix the issue.

    1. With the Wii console properly connected, power on the console to reach the Wii Channel menu.

    2. Use the Wii Remote to move the cursor over the "Wii" button in the bottom-left corner of the screen and press the A Button.

    3. From the main Wii Menu and System Settings screen, use the Wii Remote to move the cursor over the "Data Management" option.

    4. Press the A Button to enter the Data Management tool.
    To delete save game data

    1. Access the Wii Data Management screen (see above)

    2. Select the "Save Data" icon to display all save files.

    3. Select the file you want to delete.

    4. Select "Erase" to delete the file.
    5. Warning: If a game save file is deleted, there is no
way to get it back. Be sure you want to delete it, or even copy
      it to an SD Card
      if necessary.

Connect our Wii to the internet to play multi player Black Ops??

You can connect the Wii to the internet, either through a wireless internet connection or by plugging a internet line directly into the rear port on the Wii. Once you are sure there is internet accessible to the Wii, there will be an option in the network settings of the Wii to set up the internet and any internet access information needed. once you have done that, simply feed your game disk into the disc drive on the console and it will load. select the multi-player game mode on the home screen of Black Ops and you will be allowed to play online, barring any parental controls preventing this.

Hope this helps =)

When i turn the game on, it goes to the loading screen, loads my profile, but when the message box pops up saying "syncronizing nba today. please wait..." it freezes and emits a beeping noise....

go to your Wii settings and turn off the internet so there's no way to get to NBA Today. Then the sychronize part is excluded when you start loading to play.Sorry, but you can't play online though

I upgraded my wii to 4.0 and installed the homebrew channel.Everything seemed to work great,so I tried to play guitar hero 3 the game shows up in disc channel but when you click start the screen goes black...

You might want to try a Loader instead of the Wii's disc channel. Are you playing original games or backups? You might have broke the Homebrew channel with the 4.0 upgrade. Check out this Wii homebrew set of tutorials to see if it'll help

Wii's quantum of solace errors goeeting online and single player

This is what I had to do:
After it froze up, I turned off the wii by holding the power button for approx. 10 seconds. Then, I powered it back up and started Quantome of Solace. After loading my profile, instead of selecting 'continue', I selected 'chapter select' and it let me start from the chapter it was freezing on. It did not freeze this time during the intro movie. Hope that helps!!!

Wii Freezes and makes loud noise playing nhl 2K9

The game was released with a number of serious glitches. It's the publisher's fault, not yours. You can try to get the retailer to refund your money, but you will probably have to go to the publisher (2K Sports) to get your money back, and it probably won't be easy.

Sorry... and good luck.
