You didn't mention your brand or model number, but I'll assume it's a Panasonic since you posted this under a Panasonic category.

See if this describes what's happening:

  • Put in time, push start and unit runs for 2 seconds, relay clicks, unit goes off. Cook time on display goes off and clock time comes back. Bad upper interlock switch and charred connector
If so, see http://207.234.249.73/mwd/safety.txt , http://207.234.249.73/mwd/disassembly.txt and http://207.234.249.73/mwd/doorsw.txt

Otherwise, if the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.

If it stops after 7 seconds, it has a problem with the inverter.

If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor.

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter, controller, magnetron, or a bad connection from one or the other.

Display codes H95, H97, H98 or H99 mean that there's a problem with your inverter, magnetron, or digital programming circuit.

That may be a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or maybe one of those components has failed.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

How do I turn off the cooling option on my Novamatic microwave?

The word COOL is displayed when the microwave goes into a cooling cycle. The cool cycle is a feature that ensures the operating components of the microwave (Inverter and Magnetron) are cooled after operation by running the fan inside the microwave.
The cooling function is activated whenever the microwave runs for over 3 minutes or is operated twice within a 10 minute period. The word COOL is displayed to tell you why the fan is still running. You do not have to wait for the cool cycle to complete before using the microwave again, simply enter the cooking operation you wish to perform and the cool cycle will stop and the microwave will perform the cooking operation you have just entered.

Microwave stops after 59 seconds

Check that a "favourite" setting has not been selected. The unit may think that is the time that you want to cook. Im not sure about your model but see if there is any clear or cancel buttons to clear any pre programmed selections. If not, unplug the machine for 15 minutes to reset the controller and try it again.

Why is my refrigerator not working properly? well , since I got it I have problems because it never seems to get cold or work properly. I think it might be cause it is digital.

This product comes equipped with an Adaptive Defrost Control (ADC). To activate manual defrost, press and hold the Freezer temperature UP (WARMER) key while pressing the Fresh Food temperature DOWN (COLDER) key 5 times within 6 seconds. A "d" in the freezer temperature window and "F" in the refrigerator temperature window will display when the heater is activated. To deactivate manual defrost, press and hold Freezer temperature UP (WARMER) key while pressing the Fresh Food temperature DOWN (COLDER) key 5 times within 6 seconds. "d" and "F" will be displayed until the defrost cycle is complete. (approx. 8 minutes)

The microwave stops after a few seconds. It starts, but stops before the set time is completed. The oven is five years old.

Does the oven's key pad seem to reset like a breaker flipped inside? And after, you have to reset the clock? If so, check the temperature cutoff switches inside. Jumper across them and see if your microwave starts working correctly. I had this problem and the Bottom TCO was defective.

Instruction Manual for Sharp Microwave Oven

I can explain that. You enter the power level you want from 0 to high(10) the number corresponds to a percentage of time the cook cycle is ON. 5 being 50%, for each minute of cook time programmed the magnatron will be on 30 seconds and off 30 seconds. You can program anything from 10% to 90% in place of the high or "always on" setting. Eric

GE Microwave stops running

Mostly with GE I find this to be bad connections at the fuse holder or a bad fuse due to a bad fuse holder. It will break connection and reset the unit when the connection gets hot and expands and then opens and stops power from getting to the unit.

Shuts Off after 22 seconds

Time to buy a new microwave as it sounds as if the control panel is defective. A new control panel for this micro will run about 95 to 120 bucks + labor depending on where you buy it. I happen to like slightly burnt popcorn as well!! Nothing wrong with thats, as they say great minds think alike.
