Insufficient information.

1) Are you using their scanner, or have you just connected yours to their computer? If yours to theirs, then you may need to install your drivers into their computer.

2) What model / make? Go to their website (try a Google search using just the brand name) and look for the Support section. Most manufacturers allow you to download drivers and manuals.

3) Is it a Multi function unit? Not so important as to "the problem" but this would explain why it copies OK but, maybe due to (1) above, you cannot scan to the computer.

Good luck.

place the image or photo in scan area (glass area), by lifting cover. press the colo or black START on printer. Once done, save the image to your computer as JPEG, JPG, GIF, PDF, BMP. Take blank CD insert into CDROM . Software should appear asking you what you wish to do-burn, data, DVD. In this case its data, so take the saved image and drag and drop into CDROM sofwatre burning program. Start burning data on disc.

Im trying to scan photos and ad them to my computer and i dont seem to have the know how can you help

I will list the steps that will allow you to scan your photos.

1. Turn on your computer, let it bootup, then turn on your printer.
2. Locate the "HP Imaging Director" icon on your computer ( placed there when your printer was
installed on your computer), double click it and a screen will appear which shows the scanning
options of your printer.
3. Lift the printer's lid and place a photo on the glass top.
4. Click "Scan Picture" from the scanning menu.
5. The scanning lamp will come on and make one pass under the photo, as this is happening,
your photo will appear on your monitor, allowing you to see the scanning result.
At this time, you can make adjustments, if you wish, to the scanned photo or accept it as is.
6. Click the "Accept" button and the scanning lamp will make a final pass under the photo.
7. The photo can be seen in the HP Photo Gallery or your computer's My Picture folder.

I hope this helps you.

When trying to scan a photo from the c7280 to the computer the printer displays the following error message No Scan Options : refer to documentation and troubleshoot. This is not covered in my printer...

That's because it's not a printer problem. The scan options are in your computer in the scanning software for your machine. Before you can scan you need to be connected to your computer with scan software running to tell it how to scan, what you're scanning, and where to send and save the image you scan.

Try using the Dell all-in-one center instead of straight from the printer.

Start->All Programs->Dell Printers->Dell Photo AIO Printer 964->Dell all-in-one center

I dont know how to scan pictures onto my laptop. I dont know what

Another idea: Try ScanMyPhotos.com.com as another option, they have two same day photo scanning services, pay $50 to scan up to 1,000 photos, or prepaid box that holds about 2000 photos, all free S&H for $125. David Pogue reviewed
