It appears that every samsung phone uses a different size and shape of battery. More information is needed to identify the exact battery that your phone uses.
Check fluid in battery. Make sure fluid is just above inside maze-like structures. Fill, if low, using distilled water only. Take wires, off battery terminals and clean both terminals, and make sure wires are in good shape and attached to clamps, in clean, good shape. After reattaching battery to car terminals, try jumping the battery, with another car, or truck, who has a good battery. Keep the vehicle who is jumping your vehicle, attached and revved up, for at least 5 minutes, before attempting to start your vehicle. Why the battery is so dead, in the first place, may be, because you need a new alternator, or generator, or maybe you just need to by a new battery?! Good luck!
what shape is belt that drives alternator in? if it's glazed (smooth) it could be slipping through pulley not turning alternator fast enough. I'd replace belt for peace of mind then have local parts store like Autozone, Advance, etc.. do a FREE charging system test and a FREE load test on your battery.
Have your alternator tested.Your car will not stay running if the alternator is not producing enough power to keep the battery charged. Also have your battery tested and fully charged.Make sure your cables are in good shape.
Take the phone back to Verizon store and get another one ! ! ! !
There have been many problems with battery and software on this phone. I am taking mine back for tech work for the second time in two weeks. First it would turn off ramdomly now I can not turn it off. I was told that there are software problems and the battery is too small for the phone.
Make sure battery and connections are in good shape.
Next have the radio connections checked out for looseness and corrosion if everything is a-ok then the unit is bad.
How bad did it get wet? You may be able to regain full function of the phone............Remove the battery cover and the battery. DO NOT PUT THE BATTERY BACK IN, YET. There should be a water mark paper behind the battery. If it's still white, you probably in good shape. If it is pink or red, that's not a good thing. If you leave the battery in the phone, and it's still wet, it's going to damage the battery and in turn everything else in the phone. Allow the phone to dry completely, near heat but not directly on the phone. keep the phone face down during this drying process. Be patient, it could take a few days to dry completely. Every other day or so, slide you battery back in and power on, see if it is any better. With the phone still functioning somewhat there is GOOD hope for this. If it continues to do this after 10 days of drying, it may just be your LCD screen needing replaced. If that's the case, please feel free to contact us, we can walk you through replacing it, or do it for you for a minimal charge. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
Chances are your Lithium Ion battery is:
1-Not in good shape
2-Is getting extremely hot or extremely cold
If the phone is not exposed to excess heat (+100 degrees Fahrenheit - can easily happen in direct sunlight even if in its holder on your hip) or cold (below 40 degrees fahrenheit) and has problems, you should replace your battery. If it is a US Cellular Phone, they have a battery swap program that is no charge to you.
I bought these phones at a yard sale for $2.00, One phone powered up, the other did not. Of course the first thing you think is battery; right? Interestingly swapping the battery with the working ohone made no difference, the unit still would not turn on. After a close inspection, I noticed variation in the way and the shape in which the battery contactors were bent to make contact. I used a snall knife point and re-shaped the contacts into more of a vee shape, just like the ones on the working unit, I replaced the battery and the unit still did not turn on. I tried swapping batteries again and whala; the unit powered up and worked perfectly,
